Hasn't lived up to expectations since winning debut last September. Beaten soundly in two starts this season, including 13L last of seven at Haydock (1m4f) last month. This is easier but opposable.
Notorious slow starter. Well fancied but couldn't get involved when 12L seventh in 1m2f Newmarket handicap in June. Eased 1lb since but needs to break well to have claims.
Finished third in all three starts to date and came forward once more when beaten 2L in Chelmsford novice (1m) in late June. Opening handicap mark is workable. Leading claims.
Culminated progressive juvenile campaign when authoritative winner of 7f maiden at Chelmsford in December. Not seen since but has the scope to go well in this company and off this opening mark.
Looks the sort who improves with racing and showed that when staying on third of six at Goodwood (1m2f) on second start. Should have more progression left in her for handicap debut. Claims.
Defied handicap mark to win on debut in this company in June and ran up to scratch off inflated mark at Goodwood (1m2f, good to firm) next time. Solid sort but could be vulnerable to one less exposed.
Best effort came when third here as a juvenile in September but disappointed on return at Newmarket (7f) at the beginning of June. Probably needed that effort and is bred to stay this trip.
Steady progression. Yet to get off the mark in three attempts but showed staying tenacity when 2L fifth at Doncaster (1m, good) last month. Yard does well with these sorts and should improve over further.
Forecasts
Woodhouse (5/2), Arriviste (7/2), Award Scheme (9/2), Punting (13/2), Queen Of The Sea (15/2), Thanielle (11/1), Escape The City (14/1), Heart Reef (18/1)
This looks to be above-standard renewal of this type of handicap which puts a lot of gradual progressive types mixed together. Arriviste brings winning form to the table based on her impressive victory last time, however holes can be found in that form, while the likes of Queen Of The Sea and Woodhouse have been nurtured so far and could begin to excel in this company - a route their shrewd trainers tend to utilise very well. However, AWARD SCHEME has bumped into some useful types in three starts and looked as if she will excel at around this trip. She is well-fancied to make a winning handicap debut.
