Has been hit with a 15lb rise for finishing sixth in 'Listed' company at the Curragh (1m; good). That leaves him vulnerable despite the fact he is lightly raced and won at Gowran Park (7f; good) on just second handicap start two starts ago.

Produced a quiet string of runs recently after enjoying a productive time of things on the AW at Dundalk. Scored over C&D in May last year but still 3lb above last winning mark so is vulnerable.

C&D winner was given an 11lb rise for bloodless success three starts ago which has severely halted his progress. Finished last on his next two starts at the backend of 2019 and this represents his first run in 246-days. Hard to know what to expect.

This mark looks beyond him given he has been unable to threaten since his last taste of success five starts ago at Listowel (7f; soft). Reappearance effort at Navan (1m; good to firm) was encouraging but failed to back that up last time out.

Remains above last winning mark but has been struggling for form of late. Ran better than his eighth-placed finishing position would suggest at the Curragh (7f; good) last time when staying on well. Place claims at best.

0-7 on turf and gone off the boil the last twice after previously holding his form consistently well. Step back up to 7f might help but after his last two defeats, a watching brief is advised until he returns to his old self.

Surprising how easily he did it when romping home to a near three-length success at Naas (6f; good to firm) on return from a short break last month. Has been given a month to get over those exertions so 9lb rise mightn't stop him.

Not disgraced when sixth on seasonal debut at Gowran Park (7f; good) over this trip. Can be inconsistent but the form of his win at Listowel (7f; soft) in September on soft ground would bring him into this. Respected.

Flopped two starts ago when favourite, but much more like it last time after when runner-up at Bellewstown (1m; yielding) in front of a few of todays rivals. Looks on a favourable enough mark so should go close if in the same mood.

Drops a couple of furlongs in trip after finishing sixth behind the impressive Patrick Sarsfield (fancied to go well in the preceding G3 contest). Might strip fitter and was going the right way prior to that so worth another chance.

Yet to show any improvement for switch to this yard after posting a pair of quiet runs since racing resumed, including when never on terms at Bellewstown (1m; yielding) recently. Not one to recommend given how much he has to prove.

Yet to win in five attempts on turf but did post a better effort on this surface when a close-up third at the Curragh (7f; good to firm). 4lb higher mark seems slightly harsh but at least he proved he can be effective on grass. Player.

Seems to prefer softer ground so would appreciate any rain that falls. However, she has a bit to prove after failing to kick on from encouraging first two efforts in handicaps. May have needed run when last seen. Had another break since though.

Is now 3lb below last winning mark after a string of woeful efforts in defeat, the most recent of those probably being the worst when he was last of 14 at Bellewstown (1m; yielding). 0-17 on turf too so can be confidently ruled out.

Leadership Race (2/1), Dark Vader (9/2), Prisoner's Dilemma (6/1), Cyrus Dallin (8/1), Sirjack Thomas (8/1), Parkers Hill (17/2), Lightning Amber (10/1), Katiymann (12/1), Lustown Baba (12/1), Beauchamp Bagenal (20/1), High Altitude (20/1), Facethepuckout (22/1), Geological (40/1), Eden Gardens (66/1), War Hero (66/1), Spanish Tenor (80/1)

Verdict

She looked a smart sort when winning her maiden over 1m at this track in 2018, and has only made it to the track twice since but Lighting Amber is unexposed at 7f & may improve notably for his reappearance effort over 1m1f at this track last month. The handicapper has given Parkers Hill a 9lb rise for winning well on his seasonal debut, but this previous course winner should make a bold bid after being given time to recover. Sirjack Thomas and Beauchamp Bagenal are live each-way players, but a chance is taken on LEADERSHIP RACE who represents leading connections and showed he does have what it takes on turf when posting a solid comeback run in third.
