Ex-Irish gelding having first outing for new handler who does really well freshening up other's cast-offs. Only success in 15 starts for Denis Hogan came over 2m5f at Ballinrobe last year. Change of scene may help.
Finished third in five of seven starts to date looking one paced at all trips from 2m-2m7f. First run back since October, eased 1lb, but may again find a few too good.
Only win came in Navan mares maiden hurdle back in 2017 but has run a few fair races for current handler since without hitting the target. Yet to prove she'll stay this trip but is fairly handicapped if she does.
Failed to finish in four of last seven starts but missed out by just a short-head in between at Exeter 2m7f in December off this mark. Fitness has to be taken on trust but may not be far away.
Three-time hurdles winner, last two coming over this trip. Latest win at Stratford in May off 4lb higher but disappointed all subsequent starts. Decent chance though if in the mood.
Only success came at Huntingdon 2m3f in Jamuary 2019 but has run respectably a number of times since over further. Down the weights and has a squeak if fit and ready to go.
Yet to score in 8 attempts over timber but did win a chase over 3m in December 2018. Fair third over hurdles at Sedgefield 3m3f in February and races off 1lb lower here. Ideally suited by soft ground so rain would help chances.
Placed only twice from 21 races but was third over 3m2f at Warwick last season off 5lb higher. Makes debut for new connections on first start for 264 days.
Forecasts
His Dream (10/3), Classic Escape (7/2), Ratoute Yutty (4/1), Watching Brief (11/2), Sammylou (6/1), Kilcrea Bridge (9/1), Colby (18/1), The Darley Lama (20/1)
It's hard to be too enthusiastic about any of these but HIS DREAM stays and is now 4lb lower than his last success. In a race where most find winning extremely challenging he could well prove good enough. If she stays then Ratoute Yutty could be the danger on the pick of her form, and Sammylou is also worth a second glance moving up in distance. It wouldn't surprise to see Classic Escape turn over a new leaf for his new handler who has a knack of eking improvement out of new recruits.
- His Dream
- Classic Escape
- Ratoute Yutty
