An unexposed individual that got off the mark in a three-runner handicap at Goodwood last month; stayed 1m4f well that day and highly likely there's more in the pipeline. The colt is a bright prospect and no surprise if he's thereabouts.
A well-bred colt that registered a gutsy win over 1m on Polytrack last August but possibly in need of the run when weakening in the closing stages of his reappearance at Newmarket (1m2f, good) last month. Should be sharper but up in trip again here.
Ran above expectations on debut at Newmarket last October but expensive to follow twice since. Now up in trip but it's early days and, given his dam is a half-sister to 1m2f/1m4f winner Drill Sergeant, the distance should suit. Shortlisted.
Posted three solid efforts as a juvenile; culminating with a comfortable success over an extended mile at Nottingham (good to soft) last November. Last month's reappearance/handicap debut was a backwards step; something to prove now.
Sole previous win came over 7f on Tapeta at Wolverhampton and held both times since upped in trip this season; faced an almost impossible task at Royal Ascot last time but this is more realistic; still has a good bit to prove.
Posted three modest efforts so far and needs a big step forward now handicapping for the first time. (Was fractious in the preliminaries last time, which was a possible excuse for his free-running performance). Still learning but more required.

Forecasts
Bright Eyed Eagle (11/8), Aquileo (16/5), Berkshire Savvy (4/1), Vindicate (8/1), Rake's Progress (8/1), Emenem (12/1), Salamanca School (14/1), Cabot Cliffs (16/1)
BRIGHT EYED EAGLE is open to plenty of improvement and is well worth considering after posting an eye-catching display in a three-runner handicap last month. With just 2lb more to shoulder, he should be capable of more progress and looks a leading candidate. However, the betting market could be cramped and he might not be the best value bet of the evening. Therefore, an each-way cover bet on the consistent Rake's Progress is also recommend, as he is more wily than his younger opponents and won after a similar preparation last season. Aquileo and Vindicate are others to monitor in the betting, too.
