Shown ability on all three starts in bumpers including when beaten a neck at Newton Abbot (2m1f, good-to-soft) last August. Changed stables since finishing 15½L fourth at Fontwell over an extended 2m1f on good ground the following month.
Failed to beat a rival home in two bumper starts to date including when beaten 117L over an extended 2m at Market Rasen (good-to-soft) in March. Hood and tongue tie both worn for the first time in this contest.
Unraced daughter of Martaline bought for €44,000 at the sales as a two-year-old. Half-sister to top class hurdler Gemix among others and she holds strong claims of making a winning debut for a yard who are 2/2 since jump racing resumed.
Placed in a couple of mares point-to-point races in Ireland most recently when 4L third of five at Lisronagh (3m, good) in November 2018. Interesting to see how she fares on her belated Rules debut.
Took a keen hold when finishing 67L fifth in a soft ground bumper over 2m at Hereford when making her debut in March. Will need to settle better if she is to take this event.
Unraced daughter of Flemensfirth bought for €23,000 as a three-year-old at the sales in August 2018. Half-sister to winner Rock On Bennie and is a notable runner on her first racecourse appearance.
Shaped as if this step up in trip would suit when finishing 8¾L third in a 1m6f bumper at Ludlow (soft) when debuting in January. Hails from a top yard and is of interest once more.
Finished last in a bumper over an extended 1m7f at Catterick (good-to-soft) last December when making her debut and is probably best watched with the hood worn that day absent for this race.
Unraced Leading Light filly and a half-sister to the useful El Bandit and winning debutants Confirmation Bias and Buck Barrow. Of interest on debut for a stable with a 17% strike-rate (38/227) in bumpers in recent years.
Unraced Shantou filly bought for £1,100 at the sales in August last year. Dam showed useful form over hurdles including when winning a Grade 2 on heavy ground. Interesting to see how she performs on debut.
Showed ability in a couple of soft ground bumpers at Wetherby late last year. Beaten 5¼L when sixth over an extended 1m4f on the most recent of those and has had wind surgery and changed yards since that effort.
Ran well when finishing 5¼L third in a bumper over an extended 1m4f at Wetherby (soft) in January. Step up in trip looks likely to suit and she is worth a check in the market on her seasonal reappearance.
Forecasts
Miss Farage (15/8), Gerboise Borget (3/1), Bonnie Golightly (9/2), Mini Crest (11/2), Keyboard Joan (10/1), Storm Force One (12/1), Sinistry (28/1), Brooklyn Belle (33/1), Shantou Boudicca (40/1), Catmygirl (80/1), Marie's Girl (150/1), Muzetta's Waltz (250/1)
Trainer Olly Murphy can boast a 33% strike-rate (2/6) with his bumper runners here in recent years and his MINI CREST can make her first career start a winning one by taking the concluding race on the card. The selection has a top jockey in the saddle and she can get the better of Gerboise Borget who is a half-sister to top class hurdler Gemix. Miss Farage represents a top yard and having shown ability when third on debut at the start of this year she can fill the same position on this occasion.
- Mini Crest
- Gerboise Borget
- Miss Farage
