Remains a maiden (0-11), and on bare form a regressive one at that; absent since late September 2019; some positive signs that the Ruth Carr horses are beginning to discover their form.
Still seeking his first career success (0-16), although there have been various near misses (on the AW); didn't appear to be the most willing at Redcar (5f, good) a fortnight ago.
Seven-race maiden; could only finish sixth of nine at Wolverhampton (6f) on Friday; cheekpieces are newly applied as she seeks some form of improvement.
Veteran of 96-races (10 wins); 2lb higher than when springing a 25-1 surprise over 6f here (soft) last August; this is a suitable objective and further rain would suit; first start for 242-days.
Sole turf win (1-20) came way back in 2015 when trained by David Wachman; competitive enough at a lowly level on the AW during the autumn/winter - runner-up at Kempton (6f) last October.
Less exposed than some (0-7), despite an official rating of just 44; kept on when third (to Sambucca Spirit) in a blanket finish over C&D (good to soft) last week; obvious contender, despite her low draw.
17-race maiden; runner-up on both starts since the resumption of racing, albeit was a distant second to the decisive winner Dirchill at Redcar (6f, good to firm) last week; place claims.
Competitive (from marks in the 70's) on the Fibresand at Southwell during the early part of 2019; hasn't raced on turf since mid-August; couldn't be totally discounted in such a porous race, more so if market support arrives.
Kept on from the rear (50-1) at Beverley (5f, good) 13 days ago; now an 11-race maiden, and the sneaking suspicion is that he's probably more of a 6f horse than anything else.
Five-race maiden; no joy in various forms of headgear since the restart; bumped at the start, and never in contention at Catterick (6f, good to soft) last week; quick turnaround and seemingly very light on ability.

A very weak opener. The safest approach is to focus upon recent 'form', as it's considered extremely unlikely that any of those declared are about to demonstrate major improvement. Newgate Angel has twice filled the runners-up berth (now a 17-race maiden) at Redcar in recent weeks, and she'll probably find the drop back to 5f in her favour. However, Julie Camacho's four-year-old filly LYONS LANE wasn't beaten far (less than a length) when placed over C&D last week, and a simple repeat of that effort could suffice.
