Six-time 6f winner on good/soft ground. Still 4lb higher than when last seen winning at Chester 13-months ago. Came back from a break with a good effort at Haydock last month, and should be thereabouts.
Five-time 6f winner, two of them coming over C&D and all being on good or faster ground (handles soft despite not winning on it). Improved for his reappearance when second at Doncaster last time and looks a player from the same mark.
Prolific 6f winner who relishes soft ground. Hasn't won since July 2018, despite a number of chances from favourable marks. Well held at Doncaster on his recent reappearance, but should be competitive if better for that run.
Scored twice over 7f at Newcastle, the latter in a handicap when 9lb lower. Beaten favourite on both starts since then, but has gone close on each occasion. Keeps being nudged up as a result, so more needed to defy latest 2lb rise.
Won a Redcar novice event (6f, good to firm) last September. Inconsistent since then, but showed here last time out when 1lb higher that he can certainly get competitive. Bit more needed, but considered. Handles soft.
Dual 6f AW winner who is 0-3 on turf. Appeared to handle good to soft well enough on his only try. Best AW efforts entitle him to consideration here, but does have to reproduce that on turf. Cheekpieces fitted.
Prolific winner over this trip on all types of ground. Remains 3lb higher than his latest success, in a 0-80 at York last July. Below par on his reappearance last month, but would be a big player from this mark if back to that York form.
Has won on both soft and fast ground on turf and is now 2lb lower than when last winning on this surface at York in September 2018. Has largely been below that level of form since. Handy mark, but needs to be back close to his best.
Sole success came on fast ground at Doncaster (7f) two years ago in novices' company, when with Karl Burke. Acts on good to soft. Respectable reappearance/stable debut at Ripon last month, but much more needed.
Multiple sprint winning mudlark, who romped home 5L clear over C&D (first-time blinkers) last October. 4lb higher today and ran well from this mark at Ripon last time out. Contender.
Another mudlark whose most recent win (September 2018) was over C&D (heavy) in the Bronze Cup. 7lb lower than that winning mark these days and needs to return in better form than he ended last season.

Forecasts
Fortamour (7/2), Call Me Ginger (4/1), Muscika (4/1), John Kirkup (6/1), Flying Pursuit (9/1), Quick Look (9/1), Heath Charnock (14/1), Tricky Dicky (16/1), Lucky Lucky Man (20/1), Lord Oberon (20/1), Big Les (40/1), Swissterious (66/1)
Several of these will relish the underfoot conditions and it could be a competitive contest. Preference is for TRICKY DICKY, who it is hoped can come on for his reappearance and if so, he has plenty going for him. John Kirkup could be a contender, while stablemate Heath Charnock probably would be if transferring his best AW efforts to turf. Call Me Ginger, Flying Pursuit, Lord Oberon, Quick Look and Muscika can all have cases made.
- Tricky Dicky
- John Kirkup
- Lord Oberon
