Kodiac colt who went off at 7-4 on debut at Newcastle last month (6f, AW), running green until getting the hang of things late on when 4L fourth of eight. Should come on a fair bit for that and likely to be a contender.
35,000gns yearling; eighth foal; brother to Group 3 6f winner Divine, Alejandro (5f-1m½f winner) and 6f/7f winner Whiteley. Half-brother to two other winners, out of a 6f winner. Nice sprint pedigree and from good stable, though few 2yo winners.
Showed promise on debut when green and an eventual 3½L fourth of eight in a Newcastle novice event (5f, AW). Improved on that despite being held in the Listed Windsor Castle Stakes at Royal Ascot. Looks a big player back at this level.
€23,000 foal; £40,000 yearling; fourth foal; half-brother to 5f 2yo winner Stratton Street, out of a 6f winning sister to Group 3 winner Zibelina. Nice pedigree and represents a yard that does well with its 2yos (16% over five seasons). Interesting.
Dark Angel colt out of an Oasis Dream mare. Cost 115,000gns as a yearling. Beaten at odds-on on debut at Redcar last month (6f, good) when he didn't find a great deal. Clearly well regarded, so may find significant improvement for that experience.
100-1 and well held on her Newcastle debut last month. Then went off at 40-1 in a fillies' maiden at Ripon more recently, when 9L fourth, showing some improvement. Has the look of a filly who will make more appeal in minor nurseries.
Has so far produced a couple of moderate efforts in a Pontefract novice event (5f, good) and a Hamilton maiden (6f, good to soft), the latter being only a marginal improvement. Looks one to watch in this line-up.
52,000gns yearling; ninth foal, and half-sister to five sprint winners, the best being Ask Frank, out of a 5f 2yo/7f winner. Promising pedigree, respresenting a top yard that is 20% with 2yos over five seasons. Can probably go well on debut.

Selected (15/8), Seven Brothers (10/3), Captain Magnum (9/2), Twilight Lucy (9/2), Sibaaq (13/2), Dark Zeas (25/1), Time Has Wings (33/1), Mid Day Rush (33/1), Wrecked It Ralph (50/1)
An interesting opener. Mark Johnston's Sibaaq clearly underperformed on debut at Redcar and could come on a fair bit for that and challenge here, while stable companion and newcomer Twilight Lucy is from a prolific family and it would be no surprise to see her go well first time. Seven Brothers is another newcomer to note, but we'll side with SELECTED, who was not disgraced at Royal Ascot and reverts to a less taxing assignment. Captain Magnum is feared.
