Dual course winner (1m1f/1m2f) who has won over this trip elsewhere and goes on any ground. Returned from a break with a good performance at Windsor last week. Looks a big player again from the same mark.
1m4f AW winner who also finished well to dead heat for first on his return from a break at Kempton (1m3f) last week. That was one of the best efforts of his career, and from 4lb higher, he could be a contender if transferring that form to turf.
1-27 career record, that sole success being almost three years ago on the Polytrack. Went close on turf a few times that season too, but yet to break his duck. Returns to this surface in solid form from the AW, but more needed to win.
Ran up a hat-trick on AW surfaces last year, from 1m4f-1m5½f. Handicapper has had his measure since, but not by much on some occasions. Has proved very competitive from this sort of mark on AW, but needs to show more on turf.
Showed improved form to score on her second handicap start at Wolverhampton (1m4f, AW) last October. Not far off that form on only run since at Lingfield (1m2f). Unexposed and looks very interesting back on turf.
Multiple AW winner, including a hat-trick at Southwell (1m4f/1m3f) in the spring. Tailed off at Pontefract on only run since (is 0-6 on turf). Possible that the handicapper may now have his measure and certainly has a bit to prove on this surface.
Multiple winner at around 1m4f, including twice on fast ground. Still 4lb higher than his last win, and not seen since last autumn. Has won when fresh, but probably reasons to take him on unless there appears to be significant market confidence.
Forecasts
Capla Huntress (15/8), Voi (2/1), Glendun (3/1), Croeso Cymraeg (14/1), Willkommen (14/1), Kirtling (28/1), Going Native (80/1)
Willkommen will be a major player here if he is able to transfer his AW achievements to this surface on his turf debut, but VOI is already proven at this track and is taken to improve a little for her recent reappearance and score this time. The unexposed Capla Huntress could be another danger if ready after an absence.
