Kodiac filly out of a Montjeu mare. Looked tapped for speed on debut when weakening 4L fifth at Tipperary (5f, yielding) last month. This represents a massive step up and looks to have a lot on her plate.

Improving sort who has already raced three times. Put in best performance yet when 2L winner of 6f maiden at Limerick six days ago. This is a quick turnaround and big step up but not to be discounted on consistent form.

Muhaarar filly. Made a perfect start to life on the track when going away winner of 6f Fairyhouse maiden (good to firm) in June. Yard are still in hot form at present and looks to be a leading contender in this.

10/11
Twice-raced maiden but performed well on both starts, including when placed in Group 3 Albany Stakes at Royal Ascot (6f) in June. That form sets the standard and likely to be a strong player at this level.

3/1
Acclamation filly. Found trouble in running on debut but overcame it nicely to be a narrow winner (neck) of C&D maiden on racecourse debut. Yard are going well at present and looks capable of making the step up to this grade. On the shortlist.

Verdict

A select field go to post for this contest which has produced some smart types in the past, none more so than 2013 1000 Guineas winner Sky Lantern, and LUMINESCE looks well placed to add her name to that roll of honour. She won going away at Fairyhouse on her debut and raced handily, which could see her nick the dash for home in this contest. Mother Earth will undoubtedly be the main rival on her smart form already but despite being a small field, her running style suggests she may need some luck in running. Sussex Garden also possesses and unbeaten record and can't be discounted for a yard who have been firing pattern level winners in.
