Did well in the first half of his juvenile campaign, but lost his form later on, and showed nothing on his return from a break at Lingfield last month. Plenty to prove at present.
Promising debut over 7f at Newcastle last summer, but off a year after that, and couldn't match that form at the same venue last month. Opening mark looks very stiff.
€400,000 yearling who shaped with promise on Kempton debut, and improved when ½L second of 10 to Hold Fast in a 1¼m maiden there last month. Should continue to progress in handicaps, and shortlisted.
Best effort last term when 5¼L third of 10 to Khaloosy in a novice at Wolverhampton in November. Winner franked that form when scoring at Royal Ascot, and this gelding should still do better himself.
Showed a good attitude to get up late at Southwell (1m) in February, but failed to meet market expectations on handicap bow at Goodwood. Can do better, but tendency to start slowly is holding him back.
Promise on all three starts as a 2-y-o, and shaped better than the bare result (poorly placed and met trouble) when 2½L fifth of 6 to Jellystone on handicap debut at Kempton last month. Can do much better, and one to keep on side.
Third on handicap debut here two starts back, and improved when ½L second of 7 to Midnights Legacy in a C&D event last time. Should be thereabouts, and due to go up 1lb in the weights from the weekend.
Won a Beverley maiden in August (good), and ran well on softer ground at Nottingham and Pontefract in October. Entitled to need this after a break, but not dismissed.
Nothing special on AW, but improved making turf debut in a C&D handicap last time, winning decisively by 2¾L from My Girl Maggie. This is harder, but she ought to have more to give.
Improved on form of debut effort when a pleasing fourth of 12 to Albaflora in a 1¼m maiden here last time, and handicapper hasn't been excessive with her opening mark. Considered.
Forecasts
Pot Of Paint (16/5), Nashy (7/2), Finely Tuned (5/1), Dancing Approach (6/1), Red Missile (15/2), Our Girl Sheila (15/2), Iron Heart (9/1), Magna Moralia (20/1), Flames Of York (80/1), Flylikeaneagle (80/1)
DANCING APPROACH improved when winning by a clear margin over C&D last time, and while this is harder on paper, she is unexposed on both turf and at this trip, so is worth sticking with. Nashy has some way to go to live up to his price-tag, but he's another entitled to improve markedly for the switch to handicaps, while Pot of Paint has already run two good races here, and is due for a rise in the weights after this.
