Half-brother to Group 3 1m1f winner Chilean, and made a winning debut in a 7f Kempton novice in February. Merely matched that form when fourth in a similar event over C&D last month, and looks vulnerable again under his penalty.
Showed ability when third of 9 to Cepheus in a newcomers race at Newmarket in August, but failed to match that form at York next time, and while excuses can be made, others are much more appealing.
160,000 gns half-brother to 1m winner Liberal from the family of top-notch Japanese performer Deep Impact. Making a belated debut, which is a worry, but does appeal on pedigree, and yard can ready one first time.
Sales price rose to 185,000 gns last year, but he looked in need of experience when fifth of 13 to Homespin in a 6f novice at Windsor a year ago for Archie Watson. Absent since having been gelded, and starts out for a new yard here.
£90,000 yearling by Dark Angel out of a 1m1½f winner in France. Failed to make the track last year, and has been gelded. Probably best watched unless market indicates otherwise.
Fair maiden who knocked on the door last year taking the runner-up slot on four occasions. Far from disgraced when 1½L fifth of 12 to Breath of Joy in a C&D handicap on his return, and will be on the premises with a repeat.
By Australia, and closely related to very smart 2-y-o 1m winner At First Sight and useful 2-y-o 1m winner Utah, and half-sister to useful 1m3f-1½m winner Kuda Huraa. Respected on debut, but likely to need a stiffer test to show her full potential.
Sales price rose to €40,000 as a yearling. Beaten 12L when down the field on debut at Redcar over this trip a fortnight ago, and while she will improve, it's likely to be further down the line.
Much improved from modest debut effort when 1¼L second of 9 to High Accolade in a 7f novice at Redcar 12 days ago. Can progress again, but handicaps may see her in a better light.
Promising second on only 2-y-o start at Newcastle, and built on that despite looking as if the run would bring her on when 3½L third of 9 to Pure Beauty in a 7f maiden at Newmarket last month. Will go close if improving as expected from that run.
Forecasts
Arctic Vega (9/4), Sermon (16/5), Zezenia (7/2), Kingsholm (17/2), Freedom Flyer (10/1), Bint Australia (10/1), Willing To Please (12/1), Afro Blue (33/1), Raaed (50/1), Magical Spell (125/1)
ZEZENIA looked like the outing would put an edge on her when third in a Newmarket maiden last month, and if that's the case, then she will take the beating here. Newcomer Freedom Flyer makes plenty of appeal on pedigree, and is feared more than the penalised Arctic Vega, who should nonetheless be on the premises.
