Encouraging fourth on debut at Newmarket (6f) but progressed significantly when 3L fourth in the Coventry Stakes (6f, good) at Royal Ascot. Heavily eased in class, step-up in trip should suit and has the superior form compared to his rivals.
Homebred by 1m2f Group 1-winner Free Eagle. Dam was a dual Group 3-winner on the track and is a half-brother to classy performer Regal Reality. Yard are currently in a rich vein of form too so is a very notable newcomer.
Half-brother to many classy prospects, including champion juvenile Teofilo. Took the eye after a sluggish start on debut when sixth at Newmarket (6f) last month. Form of that race is questionable but open to progression.
Territories colt. Dam was an unraced daughter of Medicean. Half-brother to three-time winner Brockholes (7f), but pedigree doesn't stand out compared to rivals and has tough task on debut.
Sir Percy colt. Dam was a listed winner over 1m4f on the track and has produced some nice sorts, including a full-brother in Dance The Dream. Bred to stay in time but represents powerful connections. Market should guide.
Kingman colt. Had some support for debut but looked green despite staying on for 4L fourth at Kempton (7f, standard to slow) last month. Should come on for that effort however and may have improvement in him.
Forecasts
Dark Lion (8/15), Future Vision (11/4), Knight Salute (11/1), Royal Tribute (11/1), Eagle's Realm (40/1), Hoscar Moss (125/1)
DARK LION may be a maiden but has shown significant promise already. His performance in a group 2 last time suggests that he could be a stakes performer in time (that race is usually a good yardstick for the top juveniles) and this looks a golden opportunity to get off the mark. Future Vision took the eye with his staying-on nature last time and this trip looks set to suit better and the same can be applied to Royal Tribute. While Sir Mark Prescott doesn't typically strike with debutantes, Eagle's Realm has a lovely pedigree and should be one for the notebook on whatever he achieves in this race.
- Dark Lion
- Future Vision
- Royal Tribute
