Off the mark at the fourth time of asking over hurdles, landing a 2m4f contest at this venue last month. Has plenty in his favour here.

12-race maiden over hurdles who has proceeded to hit the frame on five occasions. Comes into the reckoning following promising run at Limerick over 2m6f on good ground on return to action last month.

Seven-race maiden yet to hit the frame in any of his starts. Disappointed on stable debut at Ayr when last seen in March. Not out of it and worth a check in the market.

Age: 10|  Weight: 11-12| J: Danny Mullins| T: Ms M Mullins| OR:  93

Rated 15lb higher over the larger obstacles than his mark over timber. Yet to hit the frame in seven hurdle starts and looks opposable in form shown between October and when last seen in March.

Bravely won a maiden hurdle at Downpatrick in September before running a fair race in defeat at same track on handicap debut. Generally well held in a couple of starts when last seen in March but likely to appreciate the step back up in trip.

Three-race maiden, sent off at treble-figure prices between October and December last year before running accordingly on each occasion. Others make more appeal.

12-race maiden over hurdles, hitting the frame in four efforts. Promising on return to action over 2m at Roscommon last month and not to be taken lightly here.

Nothing of note in four gloomy maiden hurdle efforts since May 2018. Not seen for 18 months when beaten 96L at Fairyhouse. Looks opposable in this contest.

Hopeless efforts in four starts between December and February. Pulled up on last couple of starts at Limerick and Clonmel, needs significant improvement on handicap debut.

Winner of just one of his 23 starts over hurdles and not seen since finishing seventh of 12 runners at Bellewstown in August last year. Hard to fancy racing off 15lb lower than last winning mark.

Showing signs of promise in a couple of starts including on latest start in a Thurles 2m6½f contest when last seen in March. Could find one or two better handicapped sorts in the line-up.

Yet to hit the frame in 10 starts over hurdles. Winner over the larger obstacles in September but easy to look elsewhere on overall form over timber.

Lord Lariat (11/8), Moll Dote (7/2), Eimear (4/1), Cushinstown Finest (12/1), Gunfire Reef (14/1), Rudy Catrail (20/1), Inneen Oscar (20/1), Helly Hansum (25/1), Aero Majestic (25/1), Scanimax (33/1), I Will Walk (50/1), Bertoni (50/1), Mister Thriller (66/1), Galuppi (66/1)

Verdict

Winner at this venue last month, LORD LARIAT looks the one to beat. The five-year-old got off the mark for connections on his seventh career start, his fourth over hurdles, when landing a 2m4f contest on Friday and can hold off the opposition on his quick return. The Matthew Smith-trained, Eimear can hit the frame over this trip for the third time in 10 starts and improve on his latest start at Limerick last month. Aero Majestic is better than his last run on stable debut at Ayr suggests and Cushingtown Finest, who steps back up in trip here, look more than capable of hitting the frame.
  1. Lord Lariat
  2. Eimear
  3. Cushinstown Finest
