Fair enough hurdler (rated 117) but is 0-11 in that sphere. Finished 10-length behind a couple of decent jumpers over C&D on sole run on the level in February 2019. Gives weight away all round and hard to see him going close.
Hard to make any sort of case for given how poorly she has ran in two career starts, most recently on her debut on the flat when eighth of nine at Thirsk (1m4f; good). Looks the outsider of the field.
Made debut on the level when midfield over C&D. Far from disgraced but has almost seven-lengths to make up on Jazz Party who finished second in the same contest. Talented but looks more of a handicap project so place claims.
Outclassed in a hot race at Newbury (1m2f; good to soft) on his return to the track recently. Stable form is a worry. Now switches to the AW which should suit given he is a half-brother to a French AW winner.
Must shoulder a 5lb penalty for winning a weak race on debut at Beverley (1m2f; good). Couldn't have done it much easier, but this is a step up in class on his AW debut. Respected with yard going along nicely at present.
Runner-up to an exciting colt in the shape of Almighwar over C&D a week ago. That is probably the strongest form on offer in this contest and subsequently he is the one to beat with Oisin Murphy taking over in the saddle.
Not completely disgraced when fifth in a typically competitive Newbury (1m2f; good to soft) novice. That was a step forward from quiet debut effort over 1m at this track in November. Form of the yard is a major worry though.
Comes from a good Shadwell family. By Mukhadram and is closely related to 1m winner Alnaseem. Dam won over 1m2f and is a half-sister to 1m4f Group 3 winner Laraaib. Has to be afforded major respect on debut for these connections.
Showed improved form when four-length runner-up to the potentially above-average Galsworthy (1m4f; standard to slow) over C&D just under a month ago. Leading player on that form and this novice contest isn't as strong as the previous race.

Coltrane (6/4), Haikal (9/2), Jazz Party (6/1), The Glancing Queen (13/2), Strawberry Rock (7/1), Vintage Rascal (10/1), Cozone (22/1), Et Moi Alors (50/1), Theocrat (50/1), Stellarista (150/1)
This looks an ideal opportunity for the Andrew Balding-trained COLTRANE to follow up his promising debut effort over C&D when runner-up behind a potentially top class colt. That is comfortably the best piece of form on offer and with the promise of more to come with Oisin Murphy taking the reins from Rob Hornby he is a confident selection. The biggest danger looks to be Jazz Party who took a sizeable step forward from his debut effort to finish second over C&D to a talented sort, & is feared if able to do so again. Strawberry Rock is worth a mention given he has winning form to his name, but Haikal is worth close attention in the betting on debut for Owen Burrows.
- Coltrane
