Must concede 7lb penalty to all of her rivals, but she almost managed to do that on her return to action at Newmarket (1m4f; good to firm) recently. Took a while for her to get going, so this track should suit better and is the one to beat.

Finished down the field on debut at Lingfield (1m4f; standard to slow) when well-beaten. Difficult to see her featuring off the back of that and looks one for handicaps.

Toronado filly making debut for top dual-purpose yard who have made an excellent start to this season. Mixed messages in her pedigree given she is a half-sister to four winners over a variety of trips. Betting likely to prove informative.

Green on debut when she didn't make much of an impression. Marked improvement required off the back of that and there are far more appealing alternatives to be interested in. Readily opposed.

Took a step forward from debut effort to finish third at Newmarket (1m2f; good) when last seen. Would probably need to improve again to win this, but she has to be respected for this stable/jockey combination.

Progressed from quiet debut effort to be narrowly denied on seasonal reappearance at Yarmouth (1m2f; good) when beaten a head. Did all her best work inside the final furlong so 1m3f should be ideal. Makes AW debut and has leading claims.
By Camelot (28% strike-rate on the AW) and made 100,000gns as a yearling. Half-sister to three winners and represents powerful connections so makes plenty of appeal on paper and has to be respected on debut.

Took a significant step forward from debut effort to finish fourth in the Lingfield Oaks Trial (1m3f; good to firm) to Miss Yoda. If able to prove that was no fluke, she would have leading claims on the bare form.
Camelot filly made €16,000 as a foal. Half-sister to 1m winner Lady Derrynane. Yard without a winner for 384 days (28 runners in that time). Best watched.

Sent off at 250-1 on debut at Lingfield (7f; standard to slow) and no surprise to see her finish last of 12 then. Was always towards the rear that day, and abnormal improvement would be required to see her feature.

Dabirsim filly cost €42,000 as a yearling. Half-sister to a couple of winners including Group 3 scorer Pharrell. This is a very competitive race to start off in, and yard don't have many winning newcomers so she is best watched on debut.

Showed some promise on debut when fifth in C&D maiden. This is a far better class contest though, and so she would need to step up a fair bit to have any realistic chance. Place claims.

Ran very well on debut against opposition who had the benefit of experience. Looked to have a winning chance until running out of gas within the last furlong when tapped for toe. This step up to 1m3f looks sure to suit and she should go close.

Forecasts

Delta's Royalty (5/6), Katara (11/4), Horn Of Plenty (10/1), Tao Te Ching (10/1), Kind Of Loving (10/1), La Dragontea (11/1), Cosmic Princess (14/1), Flippance (25/1), Sposabella (100/1), Sois Rebelle (100/1), Abound (150/1), Love Poems (250/1), Helm (250/1), Raziel (300/1)

Verdict

A well contested event with a whole host in with chances. La Dragontea is high on the shortlist after finishing fourth in the Lingfield Oaks Trial. Cosmic Princess is another one to consider, while Tao Te Ching looks the pick of the John Gosden pair given how well she ran on debut against more experienced horses. The step up to 1m3f looks made for Katara who nearly got up to make a winning return to action at Yarmouth. However, returned to the scene of DELTA'S ROYALTY is taken to defy a penalty and regain the winning thread. The selection arguably enhanced her reputation when second at HQ recently, and this more galloping straight should suit much more.
  1. Delta's Royalty
  2. Tao Te Ching
  3. Katara
