Inconsistent gelding whose 5L second at Newcastle (1m4½f, AW) in January hinted at an upturn in fortunes, but that hasn't materialised. On a handy mark, but arrives with plenty still to prove.
Steps up in trip for this reappearance, which could aid with improvement. Still relatively early days and some of her better efforts so far entitled her to respect from today's mark. Hooded for the first-time and not written off.
Well held when last seen at Southwell in March, but had preceded that with an AW win at Chelmsford (1m5½f) in classified company in February. Would certainly have a squeak from this mark if able to repeat that effort.
Multiple winning stayer, who has yet to score over a trip as short as this. Has been on the slide in the handicap for some time, and is impossible to recommend based on recent efforts.
Prolific winner, mostly over this sort of trip, but also at up to 1m5½f as evidenced with his classified success at Chelmsford when last seen in February. Up 5lb for that, so it will be tough to follow up back in a handicap.
Showed glimpses of minor promise when with both David Evans and more recently Tony Carroll, but has been big prices and well held in all three runs for this trainer. Can only watch.
Stayed on well when a C&D winner (good) this time last year, when 1lb lower. Has been more consistent than some in this line-up since then, and she would be one of the more likely contenders.
Slipping in the handicap, but has yet to take advantage of that, as shown again when made joint favourite last time at Chelmsford (1m2f), but being beaten 7½L. Cheekpieces now fitted and 5lb claimed, and not ruled out yet.
Prolific AW winner who is 0-22 on turf. 1lb out of the handicap here and little inspiration to be gleaned from his last three AW runs. Others preferred.
Not disgraced on a few occasions at around this trip, but has yet to make the frame in any of his nine starts. Well held in cheekpieces at Chelmsford last time, and they are now swapped for blinkers. Can only watch.
