Dual fast ground winner, one over 5f for Roger Varian and the other over 6f for this trainer (first-time blinkers) at Redcar last year, when 3lb higher. Was in better form then, but out of sorts on his three recent runs. Handy mark if he can revive.
Four-time 5f winner, including here on fast ground a couple of years ago. Has been unable to add to that, despite some close calls. Finished last of seven after an awkward start here latest, but no surprise if she bounces back.
Earned all his three wins in 2018 when with Stuart Williams, his turf success being over 5f at Yarmouth (good). Went very close back there last year, when 20lb higher, but on the slide since and hard to fancy.
Multiple sprint winner, one of them over this minimum trip at Thirsk last season, when 1lb lower. Acts on good or faster ground. Didn't get the rub of the green over C&D latest (also hung late on), and not written off.
Arguably less exposed than most of the field after just seven starts, although has already had several attempts in handicaps without making a huge impact. Placed at Southwell (6f) once, but plenty to prove on return from a lengthy absence.
Sole win came in a class 7 event (5f, AW) at Newcastle last year, when 4lb higher. Best turf form has been on going with 'good' in the description, but very hard to make a case for him on recent form.
1-31, having scored on the Polytrack at Kempton (6f) in a novice event in 2018. On a 20-race losing run since then and although occasionally competitive, she needs to pull out more to be breaking her turf duck.
Veteran who has won 8-86 starts, though none since 2018. Has proved that he can still be competitive from lowly marks such as this, but not easy to see him winning again.
Sole win came when 1lb lower at Yarmouth (5f, good to firm) last year. Ran respectably enough when 2½L fourth here over C&D last time, but clearly a fair bit more than that needed to win even at this level.

Forecasts
Teepee Time (5/2), Independence Day (7/2), Tilsworth Rose (9/2), Wiff Waff (9/2), Monarch Maid (6/1), Dahik (8/1), Alba Del Sole (17/2), Furni Factors (14/1), Zeebad (16/1), Storm Lightning (33/1)
Dahik is certainly on a handy mark if any money comes for him, but he does have a fair bit to prove on recent evidence, and perhaps TEEPEE TIME, who struggled after an awkward start here last time, can come good with conditions and trip ideal. Monarch Maid could be a player if in the mood, while Tilsworth Rose and Independence Day could perhaps also join battle for minor honours.
