Useful form at two, winner on debut and quietly progressed in two subsequent starts, best run coming on heavy at Redcar final start; acts on quicker though, will stay a mile and having been gelded, may progress again this year.
Winner at Kempton on the all-weather last November, that deserved win coming at the end of a series of progressive efforts; nothing wrong with 4l third to Johan (1m) on reappearance and likely to build on that for a yard going well.
Winner on soft ground at Newmarket last October and very highly tried since then, racing in Group 3 company on reappearance and then big Ascot handicap last week; this is easier but drop back in trip not necessarily a positive.
Ready winner on debut at Lingfield last December despite obvious signs of greenness, and looked in need of the run at Haydock on reappearance (not beaten far) ; this step up to a mile should suit, so open to more improvement.
Winner of two of his last three starts, didn't have to progress to take a Kempton novice (under a penalty) when last seen in January; breeding says he should enjoy this step up in trip this year and if fit after an absence, has chances.
Looked to have a good future ahead of her when winning with a bit in hand on second start at Newmarket last year, ran to a similar level in two subsequent starts; not certain to appreciate the step up in trip (plenty of speed in pedigree).
Best run of five last year came on good ground over a mile at Newmarket, so these conditions should suit; below form on reappearance but may have needed that, open to more improvement this term, and cannot be discounted.
No win in eight starts in France, but has gone close a few times, and now starts out life for Les Eyre; seems happy on most ground and trip fine, but yard tend to let them find their feet and on that, may be best watched today.
Made all to score over a mile at Chelmsford in December and probably improved a little on that when 6l third on handicap debut there earlier in the month; headgear now on, which may help, and from decent draw, will give it a go from the front.
Winner on debut here last July (7f) and quite highly tried in two starts after that, running respectably; likely to stay a mile and can clearly go well fresh, so hard to discount, with ground fine.
Steady progress throughout last year, winning a little race at Catterick and then running to a similar level when just denied on the Fibresand at Southwell; satisfactory reappearance at Haydock and with likely conditions fine, another to consider.
Only had the two starts, so handicapper has little to go on, and ran better than finishing position suggested when third at Chelmsford on final start, forced wide; will stay 1m and probably a bit further, and could be well handicapped here.
Sprang one of the biggest surprises of recent times when a 200/1 winner at Newbury last time out, making all at a slow pace; could be that was a bit of a fluke, given that SP, and in this stronger field, isn't sure to repeat it.

Cloud Drift (7/2), Fantasy Believer (7/2), Tom Collins (5/1), Dalanijujo (11/2), Folk Dance (8/1), Notforalongtime (12/1), Indie Angel (16/1), Swinley Forest (16/1), Angel Of Delight (18/1), Duesenberg (22/1), Kuwait Shield (33/1), Ajax Tavern (40/1), Le Bayou (50/1), Intercessor (50/1)
As ever in these 3yo handicaps, plenty are open to improvement and this race looks no different. FOLK DANCE is harder for the handicapper to assesss than a few here, having just had the two runs, and she shaped very well at Chelmsford last time out. She gets the vote ahead of Indie Angel, who looks a likely pacesetter from her high draw and the addition of some headgear to help her finishing effort means she could be a danger to all. Fantasy Believer ran well on his reappearance and should be thereabouts, Duesenberg has potential for better now gelded and Kuwait Shield should come on for a recent run.
- Folk Dance
- Indie Angel
- Fantasy Believer
