4/1
128-rated handicap hurdler. Has hit the frame in tow of his three starts on the level. Solid enough form on the Flat to come in for consideration in this contest.

Colt by Galileo out of a Indian Ridge mare. Encouraging second of 14 beaten ½L on debut in a Gowran Park maiden over 1m1½f earlier this month. Improvement expected.

Gelding by Elusive Pimpernel out of a Diamond Green mare. Related to Strahan, winner over 6f. Dam was a maiden. Will possibly need the run on debut.

Bated Breath gelding out of a Medicean mare. Cost €58,000 as a yearling. Has shaped well on both starts so far on the AW at Dundalk before showing a good attitude on seasonal debut at Gowran Park earlier this month. One for any shortlist.

Verdict

It's difficult to see past the clear and obvious chance of the Donnacha O'Brien-trained GREAT HOUSE in this contest. The colt by Galileo can improve on his second of 14 in a Gowran Park maiden earlier this month, holding off the attention of the Jessica Harrington-trained Got Trumped who can emerge as the biggest danger. Faller in the 2019 Grand National at Aintree, Peregrine Run finished fourth of seven runners on sole start on the Flat at Killarney two years ago and can compete for the minor honours with Rasiym who caught the eye when second of 15 beaten a head on return to action on the Flat at this venue over a similar trip earlier this month.
  1. Great House
  2. Got Trumped
  3. Rasiym
