Hot Streak gelding well behind and soon beaten both starts so far. Looks to face very stiff task and is hard to enthuse over.

Le Havre colt cost 85,000 euros as a foal and showed ability when promising third on debut at Kempton recently 1m where kept on nicely in closing stages. Will be wiser for that and looks sure to be very much on the premises here.

55,000gns Make Believe colt, half-brother to Group 3 5f winner Extortionist. Mid-division only start as a juvenile on heavy at Newbury but ran creditably when beaten favourite and third after being hampered at Wolvehrampton 7f recently.

£110,000 but at April Breeze Ups and hinted at ability on debut at Lingfield this month 7f when kept on from 1f out. Extra furlong will help and improvement is by no means ruled out.

Invincible Spirit colt out of Group 2 winner over 1m6f. Very green at starts on debut at Yarmouth 1m and lost ground before picking up well final 2f finishing fifth. Will be much sharper now and looks a major contender for in-form yard.

55,000gns son of Golden Horn but gelded after two poor efforts last winter at Kempton 1m. May do better now but could prove best suited by handicaps over extra 2f in due course.

Telescope filly sent off at 200/1 on debut at Newmarket 7f three weeks ago and was soon struglling, trailing in long last of 11. Impossible to fancy on that evidence in this company.

US bred son of Blame out of winning miler. Yard in fair form but not really known for getting one ready on debut. Worth considering though if market vibe is positive.

Daughter of Golden Horn out of dam placed in group company at 7f-1m. Could be decent and in-form yard has impressive 29% win rate with 3yo's at this venue. Interesting.

Forecasts

Rideson (6/5), New Chapter (85/40), Bring Him Home (5/1), Kafee (13/2), Minori (33/1), Mykonos St John (40/1), Rodrigo Diaz (100/1), Beat The Heat (200/1), Medburn Star (250/1)

Verdict

This may prove to be a fair maiden and NEW CHAPTER is the marginal choice after going into the notebook with a promising fifth at Yarmouth on debut after a slow start. He'll me much wiser this time. Bring Him Home can win races judged on his debut third at Kempton and is a danger, along with Kafee who took a step forward when third at Wolverhampton and will be suited by this extra furlong. Rideson could prove best of the newcomers. She has a good pedigree and her yard is going very well at present, while it wouldn't surprise to see Mykonos St John take a step forward from his first outing.
  1. New Chapter
  2. Rideson
  3. Bring Him Home
