Classy yet frustrating filly who consistently ran into trouble before taking the eye when placing in a hose of Group 1's last term. Not disgraced on return in C&D Group 2 and likely to be finishing fast rather than slow. Place claims.
Top-class filly who is now a four-time Group 1 winner, culminating with gutsy win in the Champion Stakes (1m2f, soft) in October. Was initially retired but kept in training at the request of her trainer. That speaks volumes and is the one to beat.
Improving filly who went globetrotting last winter, including 1m5f Australian Group 3 success. Last seen finishing sixth in valuable Saudi staying handicap (1m7f) but faces tough ask on seasonal bow.
Unbeaten in first three starts as a juvenile, including Group 3 success at this track over 1m, before close fourth in Group 1 Fillies' Mile (1m, good to soft) at Newmarket in October. Not seen since but that form has been boosted. Each-way claims.
Lightly raced daughter of Australia who improved from narrow debut loss when impressive 2L winner of Gowran Park maiden (1m, yielding) eight days ago. This is a marked step up in grade however and looks to be in to pick up any spare prize money.
Forecasts
Magical (2/5), Fleeting (5/1), Cayenne Pepper (7/1), Roca Roma (12/1), True Self (33/1)
MAGICAL has been a consistent and outstanding performer for Aidan O'Brien throughout her career and was expected to be heading to the breeding sheds after her crowning performance in the Champion Stakes. It is notable that she has been kept in training and while she will likely be contesting deeper Group 1's this season, her form puts her stacks above the rest and can make the perfect reappearance. Fleeting has seemed to find trouble in every race she has contested but with a small field in this there will be no excuses, however she still has plenty to find with her stable companion, while Cayenne Pepper remains an unexposed sort but should improve a vast amount for this effort.
