Placed in both runs so far, including turf bow at Gowran Park (1m1½f, good) when third behind market principles; can harbour similar designs in this line-up.

Placed in a Gr 2 at Leopardstown last season over 1m and consistent in maidens around that; another pleasing effort in Gr 3 Derby Trial (1m2f, good to firm) this month on return and suitable opportunity to open account now if handling drop in trip.
€22,000 2yo; half-brother to six winners inc Fityaan (5f-7f inc UAE Gr 3), Welsh Opera (5f-6f inc AW) & Swansea Jack (6f-7f inc AW); dam 1m winner (inc Italian Gr 3), half-sister to 1m Gr 2 winner Trans Island. Worth a market check.

Not the most eye-catching of pedigrees and ran as market suggested (50-1) on debut at Gowran Park (1m, yielding) last week. Can build on that without necessarily getting into the shake-up.

Gelding by Lope De Vega out of a Orpen mare; outran odds of 80-1 on debut this month at Naas (1m, good) hen finishing fourth of 18, with a pair of subsequent winners behind. Unlikely to be such a fancy price now.

Full-brother to Blandford Stakes third Credenza, and shaped with a degree of promise when down the field in a maiden at Tipperary in October. Expected to improve for top trainer on seasonal return.

Kodiac Colt. Dam was a winner of 1m2f and related to 7f winner Racer Forever. Didn't run badly on debut over 6f at Naas in September and likely improves going up in trip.

200,000 gns yearling; dam 1m2f winner, half-sister to Listed winners Coup De Ville (1m 2yo) and Fantastico Robert (US 1m1f) out of unraced granddaughter of 13.5f Group 3 winner/good broodmare Fabuleux Jane. Interesting newcomer worth noting.

Dam placed 1m2f-12.4f, half-sister to useful 7f/1m Flat and 2m hurdle/chase winner Adajal and useful 7f-1m4f winner Adaliya out of sister to disqualified Oaks winner Aliysa. Others preferred on paper.

25-1 on both starts so far, but they have shown a fair degree of promise, in particular his debut at this track last July. Possible he needed his recent reappearance (work to do with Ming Warrior) and could be a contender this time.

Colt by Excelebration out of an Aqlaam mare. Cost 16,000gns as a foal before fetching €42,000 at the yearling sales; worn down late on at Naas (1m, good) on debut recently (Carrytheone fourth). That is decent form and leading player.

Gelded son of Free Eagle, cost €60,000 as a foal; improved on second start at Gowran Park (1m, yielding) this month to be sixth of 12, beaten 7¾L. Needs more again.

No Nay Never colt out of Sadler's Wells mare. Cost €130,000 as a foal, rising to 250,000 gns as a yearling. 2½L behind runner-up Mr Wendell when third on debut at Naas (1m, good to firm) recently; can build on that and Gavin Ryan's claim helping.

Camacho gelding outran odds of 33-1 on debut at Leopardstown (1m, good) recently when finishing third under this useful claimer. Fitter for that and could well feature again.

Verdict

This is a notable drop in class for AGITARE, who wasn't disgraced in the Leopardstown Derby trial 17 days ago and also ran well in group-company last season. He may put that experience to good use to get on the board now. Carrytheone outran expectations on debut and can feature, while possible improvers include Delphi, Ming Warrior, Mr Wendell and The Rain King. Any traction in the betting for newcomer Khurshed will have to be paid close attention.
