Added two sprint wins to previous three victories last year both over 6f the most recent on his first AW attempt. Not seen failing to fire at Kempton (6f, standard/slow) in November (second AW start), C&D winner, has to prove himself off this mark.
Not getting any younger (now an 11yo); shaped as if better for the run last time at Newmarket (only second start over 7f) on return to action. Won twice last year 6f/7f off slightly lower marks, looks vulnerable to some younger legs in this.
C&D winner on his return (first run for this yard) justifying support back sprinting (previous four starts over further for Richard Fahey). Looked as good as ever off a 5lb lower mark, lightly-raced for his age, further progress can't be ruled out.
Ran some respectable races last year without winning (fifth in a Newbury Group 3) mark gradually reducing but yet to win a handicap. Not seen out so far this year, no great record fresh though, given his overall profile others appeal more.
4lb above his last winning mark gained at Goodwood over 7f in the early part of last year; ran some useful races after but does need things to fall right. Shaped better than the bare result on return at Newmarket (7f. good/firm), has won at 6f.
Unbeaten over 5f here (3-3) taking third win last time and his overall record on turf to 5-9. Progressed again here last time (travelled strongly) looking a more mature individual (hood worn as 3yp left off); yet to win at further than 5f.
Below-par when returned to turf last time at Newmarket (5f, good) when well supported (3-4 AW, 1-6 turf). Ought to be capable off this mark (won off 1lb lower) at Lingfield (5f, standard) on initial outing this year, looks more at home on AW.
Dual winner at the end of 2019 on turf/AW (6f) taking advantage of a reduced mark, looks a better individual since being fitted with blinkers. Shaped well on return at Newmarket (5f, good, patient tactics hard to overcome); of interest back at 6f.

Quite a few of these could be considered to be progressive and ALJADY a C&D winner last time looks the best of them especially as he’s in good hands in sprinting terms with the 5lb rise for his last victory looking far from harsh. Motagally runs in colours that can do little wrong at the moment and his last run could be marked up splitting two prominently ridden rivals in a race that favoured those ridden up with the pace, off the same mark he looks a danger. Celsius puts his unbeaten course record (3-3) on the line but a return to 6f will make life tougher while Kimifive needs respecting dropping down in trip but he does need everything his own way.
