Newcomer; 380,000gns yearling, second foal, half-brother to 6.5f 2yo winner Full Verse, dam 5f-6f winner (including at 2yo, Group 2 Queen Mary). Well bred sort who looks speedy, yard 3-18 with 2yo's this year, worth noting in the market.
Half-brother to three winners; shaped with promise on debut (yard not quite firing with their 2yo's) when second of three at Goodwood (6f, good/firm). Not knocked around at all and open to further improvement with that experience tucked away.
Debutante from a yard that do well with their 2yo's here; €65,000 yearling, first foal. Dam once-raced half-sister to very smart 6f winner Greek Renaissance and smart 1m2f-1m4f winner Sir John Hawkwood, hard to ignore given connections.
Yard in good form this season (have had 2yo winners); £260,000 yearling, half-brother to several winners, including smart 2yo 6f (Richmond Stakes) winner Golden Horde (also won Commonwealth Cup, Group 1), could be smart, blinkers on for debut.
Well backed on his debut at Wolverhampton (6.1f, slow), has a fair bit of speed in his pedigree but didn't last long on his first start. Dropped away quickly, thought capable of better but faces some potentially smart types; has a stiff task.
£85,000 yearling who showed plenty to work on from his Newmarket debut behind Eye Of Heaven (well behind this ones smart stablemate The Lir Jet in Norfolk Stakes). Just behind subsequent Windsor Castle winner last time, sets a good standard.

Forecasts
Vedute (13/8), Darvel (13/8), Line Of Departure (8/1), Kodiac Brown Bear (8/1), Grey Sparkle (10/1), Fountain Cross (12/1), Twiggybark Creek (20/1)
This looks a fairly warm event despite the small field with some of these having already run well against some who performed well at Ascot last week. VEDUTE looks to be the pick of those having finished fourth at Newmarket on his debut in a race that is working out well and contained the Windsor Castle winner Tactical. This track is likely to suit the son of Holy Roman Emperor better than the undulations at Newmarket. The three newcomers all look smart enough with Darvel and the blinkered first-time Line Of Departure seemingly the pick although Kodiac Brown Bear representing connections that are always to respected here can’t be ignored.
