Came clear with favourite before snatching victory at Pontefract (1m4f, good; 3-1); the front pair some 18L clear. Was getting a lot weight there, has a 6lb penalty to contend with in different scenario now but a surprise if he can't double-up.
Unplaced in four starts on the all-weather at 1m2f/1m4f; including 8¾L defeat on h'cap bow at Lingfield this month. Eased 3lb by the handicapper and leading trainer should get more from him before long.
Hooded on seasonal/h'cap bow at Newcastle on the Tapeta this month stepped up to 1m2f; never able to get competitive from the rear and has plenty to work on over this longer journey.
Nathaniel filly beaten out of sight in all three starts on the all-weather (1m-1m4½f); went off at 300-1 this month in Newcastle novice won by Ribblesdale scorer Frankly Darling. This is a lot easier but still left searching for major improvement.
Unplaced in six starts but did run on to some effect in fourth behind runaway winner Stagiaire at Wolverhampton this month when upped to this sort of trip. Still left with a chunk of improvement to seek.
Champs Elysees filly had three wide-margin defeats last year in 7f maiden/novice company, including here, having started no shorter than 40-1. Meets completely different trip on return/h'cap bow.
Forecasts
Revolver (30/100), Warranty (9/2), Black Star Dancing (14/1), Roman's Empress (20/1), Boulevard Beauty (50/1), Chenille (66/1)
Monday's Pontefract winner REVOLVER should make it 2-2 in handicaps despite the penalty. He looks likely to improve for this longer trip and, in truth, the opposition is fairly paltry on what they've shown so far. Mark Johnston's Warranty could have a bit more to offer on turf debut while handicap debutante Boulevard Beauty is racing beyond 7f for the first time and could also do much better in time.
