Unable to win last year but perhaps more owing to targets being set too high than anything else; gelded over the winter and looked in need of the run on return at Newcastle this month. Interesting in first-time cheekpieces now and can play a role.
Solid performer for Hugo Palmer despite failing to add to pair of novice wins in 2018; shaped with promise on debut for new handler at Newmarket (7f, good to firm; 5-2f) and possibly just caught out fitness-wise. More to come and chance if so.
Consistent last year, with two wins and two seconds in first four starts (best at 7f with some give in ground); excellent effort in premier handicap at Leopardstown in September before poor final run at Musselburgh. Capable fresh but rating a worry.
Course winner in 2018 over 5f and ended that season with big sales race win at Doncaster (6½f, good; 33-1); struggled early last season (two runs) but twice went close in the autumn including behind Royal Ascot third Mutamaasik at Doncaster latest.
Promising juvenile form included a big nursery success at Naas (6f, good to yielding; 11-2) for Ger Lyons but rather lost her way in Ireland last season. Can only be watched unless market vibes are strong on first run for Tim Easterby.
Dual winner in 2019 at York (7f) and Windsor (6f); acts best on rattling quick ground and former C&D winner should be sharper for recent Newmarket run (first since wind surgery). 3lb below previous win-mark so needs watching.
Formerly with Richard Hannon, he was solid to current connections for 30,000 gns in October and subsequently gelded; quirky sort than often starts slowly; he was no threat on stable bow at Haydock (1m, good; 66-1) this month and needs plenty more.
Generally a reliable conveyance on turf, with five wins and six placed efforts in 26 starts; goes on any ground and on a fair handicap mark here if benefitting from recent return to action on the AW at Newcastle.
Progressive during the second half of last season; absent since Tapeta win at Newcastle (7f; 8-1) in mid-December; a subsequent 5lb rise seems fair given the strength of that form but he's in a higher grade than accustomed to. Market helpful.
Kodiac gelding quickly improved to win twice at Kempton on the Polytrack in late 2018/early 2019 for John Gosden; tailed off in one turf run last season however and left Clarehaven after. Bit to prove starting out for Tim Easterby.
Recorded three AW wins in six starts after joining this trainer from Ian Williams back in October; well held at Newmarket (6f, good to firm; 5-1) this month on turf return. Quickly eased 3lb, which should help.
Third runner for the yard; shaped with some promise at Newcastle (6f, AW; 33-1) this month on first start after leaving Joseph O'Brien (off since September); all wins over 5f but well-handicapped if he lasts the distance.

THE GREAT HEIR is rated just 2lb higher than when finishing second behind Mutamaasik at Doncaster 283 days ago. The front pair came some 6L clear of the remainder that afternoon and the winner was seen to good effect at Royal Ascot this week. Assuming Kevin Ryan's charge is ready to roll; he's got excellent claims here. Arbalet was fancied on first start for this trainer at Newmarket recently and just appeared to wilt late on, he should be all the better for the run and is chief danger while True Mason also has fitness boosted for this and could go well in first-time headgear.
