Promising form early last season and placed five times in seven starts but hardly progressing in handicaps and failed to get competitive on reappearance at Newbury (6f, good; 20-1). Vulnerable again.

Home-bred daughter of Mayson and is a half-sister to high class sprinter Hooray; won a heavy-ground Leicester maiden on debut last summer (6f); off since and looks best of these on evidence so far.

Cost 50,000 gns as a yearling; unable to go with smart newcomer Ransom on debut recently at Lingfield (met traffic) and eased late on in finishing fifth. Should be better to come and respected now.

Sent off 250-1 on debut at Newcastle (6f, AW) this month and ran accordingly, beaten 25L at the line. Not one to be placing confidence in at this point.

€60,000 breeze-up purchase; offered something to work with on recent debut at Wolverhampton (7f, AW; 9-1) and entitled to build on that switched to turf; will have to improve.

Fancy prices in both outings on the all-weather Wolverhampton (1m1½f/7f) and never threatened to land any sort of blow; watching brief on turf bow.

Gelded prior to debut at Newcastle over a mile this month and never looked like outrunning odds of 80-1. Wiser for that run but best watched in the short term.

Daughter of Anjaal didn't offer much in pair of novice outings at Windsor (5f, good) and Newmarket (6f, good to firm) 13 months ago for Richard Hannon. Changed hands since and market a likely guide to what is expected on return.

66-1 chance on debut at Wolverhampton (1m½f, AW) on debut this month and faded rapidly in the closing stages. Stiff ask again switched to turf.

Horse silk
100/1
150-1 chance in both starts, coming either side of a six-month layoff, at Wolverhampton (6f, AW) and Haydock (7f, good). Hard to fancy on that evidence.

Forecasts

Gold Zabeel (1/1), Entrancing (9/4), Cruising (4/1), John Jasper (9/1), Recall It All (50/1), Come On Linda (100/1), Amber Road (100/1), Mereside Blue (150/1), Spycracker (200/1), Champagne Fountain (200/1), Hellfire Kode (250/1)

Verdict

This isn't strong at all and GOLD ZABEEL might be the answer. Oisin Murphy was on board for his debut at Lingfield recently and, attempting to go with smart-looking winner Ransom, their path was blocked up the rail and the champ had to bow out of the fight. Still, he was starting to motor home and there was enough promise to suggest he can take this at the main expense of Entrancing. The filly won on debut at Leicester last summer and hasn't been seen since. That was on heavy ground and she'll need to prove herself on a different surface now. Cruising is fairly exposed and John Jasper might be able to grab a place ahead of him.
  1. Gold Zabeel
  2. Entrancing
  3. John Jasper
