Colt by the classy sprinter Pearl Secret out of once-raced dam in France (1m2f). Her progeny have failed to win on the track to date. Pedigree makes limited appeal but hails from powerful yard. Market check needed.
Toronado colt who was a 17,000gns yearling purchase. Mad eye-catching debut when beaten a short-head at Wolerhampton (6f) this month. Hung badly that day but likely to be more street-wise. Big chance.

First foal out a half-sister to 6f Group 3 winner Habaayib. Looked professional when pleasing third of 12 on debut at Pontefract (5f, good) 10 days ago. Likely to come on for that and should go close.

Dandy Man colt who cost €18,000 as a yearling. Shaped well on debut with neck defeat at Pontefract (5f, good). Had Disco Beats behind him that day and yard has started well with juveniles this season. Strong claims.

Mayson colt related to 6f juvenile scorer Silver Samurai. Not beaten far with 3L defeat at Pontefract but behind the likes of Dandy's Max and Disco Beats. Little bit more required.

fascinating Rock filly. First foal out of unraced dam who is closely related to top miler/middle-distance performer Lope De Vega. Notable yard but up against it on debut.

Forecasts

Cuban Dancer (6/4), Dandy's Max (3/1), Disco Beats (9/2), Maytan (6/1), Spanish Hustle (11/1), Rishworthian (14/1), Forbidden Beauty (16/1)

Verdict

An above-average looking renewal where closely-matched form ties will play a significant factor, but CUBAN DANCER notably took the eye and looked the winner throughout on debut before veering badly left. While that is of concern, his trainer tends to irk out improvement with each run and looks set to make another bold bid. His form is closely matched by the likeable Dandy's Max who may be a smart sort for this level, while the likes of Disco Beats and Maytan do not have much progression to make if to make a considerable impact in this.
  1. Cuban Dancer
  2. Dandy's Max
  3. Disco Beats
