All three wins have come at 5f including last two starts. In great heart and goes for eight day hat-trick under 5lb penalty but will do well to win again at this trip under his welter burden.
Seven career successes but hasn't troubled the judged since scoring off 79 at Windsor two years ago and is on a very long losing run. Running respectably last few starts but likely to again find a few too good.
C&D winner last term off 2lb lower mark and will probably appreciate the step back up to this trip having been found out over 5f last time on first start since the winter. Should strip fitter and is not without hope.
Only win came first time out last season when trained by Kevin Ryan so absence shouldn't count against this new recruit for the Appleby team. Lost her way second half of last season but change of scene may help and is fairly weighted.
1-22 but only victory did come over C&D this February off 3lb lower mark. Respectable efforts on 2-3 starts since, all at Chelmsford, and return here may well see her there or thereabouts.
Dual C&D winner including latest win in October off just 1lb lower mark. Having first start for 101 days and has tended to need a run or two in the past before showing best form.
Great servant to connections winning 16 times, including five over C&D. Into veteran stage now but ran on well after being hampered when fourth at Chelmsford a few days ago and with first-time blinkers is an interesting contender.
Hasn't won for four-and-a-half years so takes a leap of faith to support this veteran who has shown very little spark over the last 12 months and is difficult to enthuse over.
Just 3-71 career record rather tells its own story. Has never won first time following a break so 105-day absence counts against this gelding who appears to have plenty on his plate.
18-race maiden who has shown precious little since placing a few times for Charlie Hills in 2018. 1lb out of the handicap and is unlikely to trouble the judge on previous evidence.
Forecasts
Seneca Chief (2/1), Maid Millie (10/3), Bernie's Boy (5/1), Deeds Not Words (6/1), Aghast (12/1), Mercers (14/1), Terri Rules (16/1), Vino Rosso (40/1), Cool Strutter (66/1), Noble Deed (100/1)
Seneca Chief has hit a rich vein of form at 5f over the last week or so and carries his penalty as he bids for the hat-trick over the extra furlong. He should give it a good go but may be vulnerable at this trip. Aghast makes her debut for new connections and won on her seasonal return in 2019 so her absence shouldn't count against her. She is attractively handcapped if ready to roll, while Maid MIllie also has claims back at 6f. Old DEEDS NOT WORDS loves it here and on this 117th start wears blinkers for the first time after finishing well the other day on his first start back. If he take to the headgear he may prove good enough.
- Deeds Not Words
- Aghast
- Seneca Chief
