Showed some promise at a minor level when trained in France, but was well held in all three starts for this trainer earlier in the year. Slipping in the weights, but we can only take a watching brief on this turf debut.

Not devoid of promise in a couple of maidens last year, one of them over C&D. Never really a serious player on her handicap debut at Navan when last seen 11-months ago. Drops 5lb now, but we need to see more from her.

Made the frame on three successive occasions over 7f-1m½f, when trained by Noel Meade in 2018. Has been unable to eclipse those efforts since, racing mainly in maiden company and more needed now handicapping again.

Sole win came at Galway (1m½f, soft) in the summer of 2018, when 6lb higher. Largely in the doldrums since then, but showed he can still be competitive at Dundalk in February. However, record when fresh is poor.

Moderate form with an occasional glimmer of encouragement thrown in. Best effort remains her second start in 2018, by some margin, but if better then previous runs when fresh, she is at least on a more realistic mark.

Has shown glimpses that there could be a minor race in her, including when 4L seventh at Dundalk last October. However, so far unable to stake a serious claim in any race.

One of few in this field with a win to her name, having scored at Navan (1m2f, good to firm) last September, in similar company, from a 4lb lower mark. Held in all three runs since, from this mark, so needs to step up on that on her reappearance.

Has made the frame three times from 1m2f-2m, the most recent a 7½L third from this mark at Dundalk last December. Can't write her off on that basis, although this trip probably plenty short enough and she needs to pull out more.

Moderate in both codes and returns to this one having been well beaten in hurdles on her last three starts last winter. Did at least manage to finish second in a 1m4f Galway handicap on soft last October, but looks an each-way player at best.

Dual sprint winner, the one on turf at Thirsk being much earlier in his career when with George Margarson. Often runs respectably at this low level, and showed that again when runner-up at Dundalk in January, so not written off.

0-18 under both codes, though has had his moments on the Flat, being placed three times in the past year and being a very close fourth at Dundalk when last seen in March (under today's 10lb claimer). Not ruled out of the money.

Veteran who is bar far the winningmost runner in this field, with ten to his name. However, the last of those was in 2017 and he has been seen only twice since April 2018. Hard to recommend him on recent evidence.

Yet to win a handicap, with just a Clonmel claimer (1m1½f) to her name from 26 outings. Not disgraced on her recent return at Leopardstown (1m4f) a few days ago, but needs to pull out more.

Forecasts

Attack At Dawn (4/1), Dani's Boy (11/2), Deauville Society (6/1), The Lady's Bid (8/1), Lottieloveheart (17/2), Early Strike (9/1), Loughanlea Lass (10/1), Nuzzles (10/1), Quite Subunctious (10/1), Anfaass (11/1), Day Dreamin' (12/1), Loudest Whisper (14/1), Hinemoa (20/1), Arctic Blaze (25/1), Goodwood Showman (25/1), Tennesse Waltz (25/1), Scarlet Seymour (28/1), Hes Our Music (100/1)

Verdict

More moderate fayre. Dani's Boy would have a squeak if able to produce better when fresh than we have previously seen, while Early Strike could again show up well under his 10lb claimer. Anfaass could get involved in the battle for prize money, along with Loudest Whisper and Scarlett Seymour. However, the very tentative suggestion is NUZZLES, who may still have better days ahead and has now dropped to what looks a more realistic mark.

  2. Dani's Boy
  3. Early Strike
