Sole win was gained here in 2018 when with Brian Meehan. Placed plenty of times including at Listed level over 1m5f for this stable last season and fetched 220,000 gns at the Decemebr sales.

Tough and consistent mare who ran right up to best when second on comeback run on the AW last week, though best turf form is on a sound surface, so any easing in the ground would be a concern.

C&D winner in 2018 but flopped in two runs here since. Won at Catterick when last seen in September but 5lb higher in a better race now and has needed comeback runs in the past few years.

Completed hat-trick on first three runs for this yard on the AW this winter. Showed at Haydock last week that she has the capability to do well on turf and there should be more to come with just seven career runs under her belt.

Yet to win beyond 1m but has shown she stays this far and shaped well enough on Kempton comeback to suggest there could be more to come. Versatile ground-wise so won't mind what the weather does.

Won at Ripon a year ago but finished last season on a low and needs to bounce back to her best to play a prominent role here.

Forecasts

Nkosikazi (11/8), Geetanjali (4/1), Sootability (5/1), Merryweather (5/1), Bollin Joan (11/1), Appointed (14/1)

Verdict

Nkosikazi turned in some fair efforts last season and having been bought for a hefty price in December, her new owner will be hoping she can start to repay that here. Howeve,. the sole three-year-old in the race MERRYWEATHER receives a handy allowance and showed last week that she isn't just an AW filly and can come out best. Providing the ground doesn't soften up appreciably, Geetanjali usually runs her race and completes the short list.
  1. Merryweather
  2. Nkosikazi
  3. Geetanjali
