Bred to stay well, and best effort last year when 4¼L third of 12 to With Thanks in a 7f novice here on her final start. Type to improve markedly this year as her stamina is tested, and one to note on her return.

In the frame on all four starts to date, and improved having had wind surgery when third of 12 to Punting in a 1¼m handicap at Lingfield earlier this month. Kept on stoutly there, and this longer trip is sure to suit.

Not disgraced over this trip at Kempton in January, and unsuited by drop to 1m on latest start. Unexposed now starting in handicaps, and needs respect.

Half-brother to 1¾m winner Gripper out of a 1½m winner. Failed to improve on debut effort when fifth of 12 to Punting at Wolverhampton. That is enough to get him a mark, though, and the winner has won a handicap since.

Bred for this trip, and improved markedly for the step up when third of 11 to Billhilly on handicap debut at Lingfield recently. That form looks solid, and she should continue to give a good account.

Ran creditably in a couple of 7f nurseries last year, and probably worth forgiving a poor effort on his final start. Not sure to stay this far, though, and more exposed than a few of these in any case.

Patchy form in handicaps, her best effort when runner-up at Lingfield (1m) in January. Not matched that since, though, and has left Martin Bosley since her latest start.

Forecasts

Trinity Girl (2/1), Theheartneverlies (5/2), Lady Pendragon (7/2), Single (18/5), Lyrical (7/1), Uncle Swayze (15/2), Love My Life (14/1), Burniston Rocks (14/1)

Verdict

This is a race which could throw up its share of winners, but THEHEARTNEVERLIES is bred to leave his modest juvenile form behind now upped to a trip in line with his pedigree, and could be well ahead of an opening mark which is little more than guesswork. Single showed herself suited by this trip when making her handicap debut at Lingfield, and will be equally at home on turf, so is feared most. Trinity Girl finished well from off the pace at that track behind the well-ridden Punting, and is another with more to offer.
