Solid and consistent sort running well in defeat in a number of starts last term. Last two starts raise concerns about overall ability, including on return to action at Gowran Park last week. First time cheekpieces unlikely to spark improvement.

Verdict

Favourite backers can get off to a flying start in the opener with the Aidan O'Brien-trained EDEN QUAY. The filly has not had the smoothest of starts to her career, missing the start on debut last year and suffering 'cuts' to both hind legs on seasonal reappearance in a Navan 5f maiden seven days ago. The daughter of No Nay Never should be suited by the step up in trip and, if fully recovered, will be able to see of her nearest rivals, Nawafeth, newcomer for trainer Kevin Prendergast in the colours of Hamdan Al Maktoum and the Ken Condon-trained Treasure Today.
  1. Eden Quay
  2. Nawafeth
