From a good Juddmonte family. By Oasis Dream and a half-sister to Group class pair of Brooch and Raymonda. Stable trained those two siblings and her dam who was also a dual C&D winner. Interesting contender.

By Make Believe. Mixed messages in her pedigree given she is a half-sister to 5f-6f two-year-old Group 3 winner Shaden but also related to a 2m hurdle winner. Market likely to be informative as in what to expect on debut from this one.
Holy Roman Emperor filly. Dam won over 1m4f on the AW. Half-sister to the useful Mizani. Yard had first winner since racing resumed last week and in general they have been running respectably. Place claims.
Most appealing runner in the line-up on paper. Galileo filly and she is a full-sister to the stables Irish 2000 Guineas winner Roderic O'Connor. Ballydoyle newcomers more forward than usual this season so could take some stopping.
Daughter of Mastercraftsman. One of two runners in the field for these connections. Stable/jockey going along nicely at the moment. Half-sister to Falmouth winner Simply Perfect. Could make presence felt first time out.

Raven's Pass filly who made 55,000gns as a yearling. Half-sister to three winners over 5f/6f/7f. Likely to have a bright future, but difficult to see her making a winning start in this company on debut.

By No Nay Never. Lot of speed in her pedigree, but dam won over this trip. Half-sister to five winners but is up against some potentially smart sorts so is best watched on debut.

Night Of Thunder filly who represents stable/jockey going great guns at present. This looks a good starting point, but she has scope to go over further in time. One of the likelier contenders.

Forecasts

Thunder Kiss (10/11), Laburnum (2/1), Cannoli (7/2), Royal Free Hotel (14/1), Scherbatsky (22/1), Fictitious Lady (40/1), Isca Augusta (50/1), Sweeproad (100/1)

Verdict

A maiden full of newcomers with the Juddmonte-bred Cannoli one to note given Dermot Weld has plenty of experience with the family. He trained her half-sister Brooch to win a Group 2 and it would be no surprise to see this Oasis Dream filly make her mark in the company further down the line. It is hard to get away from the claims of LABURNUM though who represents a yard much more forward with their debutantes than we are used to. This full sister to Roderic O'Connor can make a winning racecourse at the chief expense of Thunder Kiss who is also nicely bred and runs for the all-conquering Ger Lyons who is currently operating at a 21% strike-rate.
  1. Laburnum
  2. Cannoli
  3. Thunder Kiss
