Sits 4lb higher than when successful on the AW at Wolverhampton last October; has run well over C&D in the past, although his trainer (shutdown her operations completely during the break) has made a slow start back.
Most productive with cut underfoot, and remains reasonably handicapped from an official rating of 60; stayed on stoutly to score at Southwell (5f) when last in competitive action 181-days ago; figures high on the shortlist.
Catterick specialist; rated 5lb lower than when finishing third over C&D (good to firm) last July; ended last season on a low-key note at Thirsk (6f); has a wide draw to overcome on his first start for 275-days.
Kept busy by former trainer Roger Fell on the AW during the winter months (ten starts), sits 2lb above his last winning mark (Chelmsford) on debut for Andi Brown; others more obvious.
Handily weighted on peak form, and generally at his best with give in the ground (won over 5f on heavy at Haydock in October 2018); that said, finished a disappointing last of ten at Wolverhampton (6f) last week.
Regularly in the thick of the action on the Westwood (6232) last summer, including when keeping on behind the speedy Archimedes (5f, good to firm); is handicapped to be competitive if the ground continues to dry ahead of racing.
Seemingly much better suited to AW racing (4-21) than turf action (0-10); already twice successful on the Fibresand at Southwell (6f) so far this calendar year.
Has eased markedly in the weights since winning at Musselburgh (5f, good) in late 2018; mildly interesting to see if he attracts market support on debut for Paul Midgley, but the combination of a stiff track and wide draw are viewed negatively.
2018 C&D winner (for Amy Murphy); has shown his best form of late on Tapeta at Dunstall Park Wolverhampton (5f-6f); 2½L runner-up to Solar Park there in March; every chance he can exploit the plum berth in stall one.
Often goes well on a stiff track, as wins at Chepstow and Leicester (alongside an August 2016 C&D win) serve to testify; successful when last racing from a mark as low as today's (52); first start for Michael Mullineaux.
Pulled a rabbit out of a hat when making all to score at odds of 22-1 at Newcastle (5f) last November; mainly disappointing since with an off-putting career win record of 1-19; safer to look elsewhere.
Led on the post when scoring at Nottingham (6f, good) last summer; has plenty of placed form on his CV, including on soft ground (Yarmouth) but woefully out of sorts towards the tail-end of the season; risky on that basis.

One One Seven has the benefit of the plum draw in stall one, so must enter the reckoning after a number of perfectly respectable efforts on the AW at Wolverhampton during the winter months, while the Westwood regular Burtonwood is handicapped to be competitive if the ground continues to dry out ahead of racing. For those seeking a more speculative each-way tilt, there'd be far worse options than the returning mare David's Beauty. However, in a modest race the horse who makes the most appeal is Tim Easterby's THE GREY ZEBEDEE. A previous soft ground (and Fibresand) winner, he can potentially go in again before progressing up and out of this grade of race.
