Well-held 25-1 chance on this month's debut at Newmarket (6f, good to firm); drops in trip and should come on for that opening run.

100-1 poke in a novice event at Newmarket (5f, good to firm) 12 days ago and ran accordingly, fading to finish last of 10 in the closing stages; likely best watched for now.

£7,000 yearling; dam 5f Fibresand winner, half-sister to Group-placed 6f 2yo winner Zumbi and Listed-placed 1m winner Say No Now out of unraced sister to smart 2yo/sprinter Land Of Dreams (dam of top-class Dream Ahead). Market informative.

Sir Prancealot half-sister to 6f-1¾m 2yo winner Isobar Wind; shaped with some purpose on debut this month at Lingfield (5f, AW; 25-1) and should be sharper for that experience now switched to grass.

Market spoke favourably for debut run at Chelmsford (5f, AW; 4-1) a week ago and shaped nicely; fading only late having raced on the front end. Should have gleaned plenty from that experience.

Bated Breath filly cost connections 10,000 gns at the sales last October. Dam was a winner over 7f and she is worth a check in the market for a yard who are looking for their first two-year-old turf winner of the year.

35,000 gns foal, 32,000 gns yearling; half-sister to winners Shared Equity (6f-7f), Glorious Politics (6f AW), Plum Bay (6f) and Jumeirah Moon (6f Fibresand 2yo); dam 5f 2yo winner, from sprinting family. Yard not run many two-year-olds yet; hooded.

Garswood filly, half-sister to 6f-7f winner My Own Way Home and 6f AW 2yo winner Lourdes Lady; dam unraced half-sister to fairly useful 5f winner Calm Bay and 5f-6f winner First In Command.

Horse silk
25/1
Sixties Icon filly out of an unraced full-sister to winners Porteous and Fadeintoinfinity; down the field on debut at Lingfield (6f, AW; 18-1) earlier in the month and plenty improvement demanded on turf bow.

Forecasts

Northbound (4/1), Boot Scootin Baby (9/2), Furlong Factor (5/1), One Day (5/1), Soldierpoy (7/1), Go Greta (9/1), Porfin (12/1), Glamorous Breeze (20/1), The Pretty Way (22/1), Trixie Mitskie (25/1)

Verdict

Boot Scootin Baby and Northbound should come on from their debut efforts to get competitive here but so, too, should FURLONG FACTOR and Rod Millman's charge earns the vote. She wasn't unfancied at Chelmsford on debut and ran well on the front end for a long way. With that experience behind her, she may be able to fend these off. Newcomers Go Greta and One Day are worth monitoring for yard in form.
  1. Furlong Factor
  2. Boot Scootin Baby
  3. Go Greta
