€170,000 yearling. First foal of an unraced sister to US 1m3f Grade 1 winner Prince Arch and 1m2f-1m4f winner Arty Crafty. Stable's 3yo strike-rate over five seasons is 9%, its lowest on the breakdown, but this filly merits respect on debut.
90,000gns yearling; fifth foal; closely related to two winners (one over 7½f-1m2½f) and half-sister to two winners (1m2f/1m), out of a German 7f 2yo winner and German Oaks third. In good hands and is one to note in the market on debut.
£9,000 yearling who was sent off at 8-1 on debut at Newcastle (1m, AW; cheekpieces) recently. Dwelt at the start there and lost third close to home. Could come on a fair bit for that and can't be ruled out.
Seventh foal; half-sister to modest winners Lexikon (1m) and Lightning Steps (2m), out of a French 1m2½f winner. Trainer has modest 5% strike-rate with turf 3yos, and everything points to a watching brief for this one.
Stepped up on a moderate debut effort when 1L second at Kempton (1m, AW) on her most recent appearance last October. Trainer's runners have returned in good form and this filly sports first-time headgear. Not ruled out.
€23,000 yearling, half-sister to two winners. 12-1 for her debut at Chelmsford (1m, AW) in March, when 5½L third of nine. Showed some promise there and no surprise to see her step up on it and take a closer hand this time.
Fourth foal; half-sister to Qatar 1m½f-1m2f winner Jacko; dam was fourth over 1m1½f in France from her four races. Stable does well (15% over five years) with its 3yos, so this filly deserves a precautionary market check.
Ran well here on debut (6f, soft) last August, when third of 14. Improved on that at Haydock when last seen in September. Check the market for confidence on her reappearance, but entitled to enter calculations with potential for improvement.
Declaration Of War filly who was supported in to 3-1 on debut at Wolverhampton last November, but after racing prominently, she was ultimately beaten almost 10L. In good hands and more than likely to be better than that.
45,000gns foal; £7,000 2yo (private); second foal of a Danehill Dancer mare who was placed over 6f at two. Doesn't leap off the page as a potential debut winner in this field.
Seventh foal; half-sister to five winners, including Great Order (1m/1m2f). Dam 1m-1m4f winner (inc Group 2). Stable 22% over five seasons with its 3yos and has debut winners. Looks the pick on pedigree.
Forecasts
Red Poppy (9/4), Poet's Lady (3/1), Solar Flame (11/2), Angel Of The Glen (7/1), Licit (17/2), A Touch Of Luck (11/1), Maharg's Princess (12/1), Chardoneigh (28/1), Fairy Ring (66/1), Miracle Eagle (80/1), Reely Bonnie (80/1)
SOLAR FLAME comes from a prolific family and looks to have been found a good opportunity to make a winning debut. Red Poppy could do much better than on her own debut, which was a little underwhelming, while Angel Of The Glen and A Touch Of Luck are other newcomers to note. Of the others with experience, Poet's Lady, Licit and Chardoneigh are of interest.
- Solar Flame
- Red Poppy
- Licit
