Haafhd half-brother to four winning hurdles and two Flat winners at 1m4f-2m. Plenty of stamina in pedigree and was outpaced and always struggling on debut at Haydock 1m2f. Drop back in trip doesn't look obvious move.
£8,000 Sepoy gelding out of a dam who won at 1m2f-1m4f. Half-brother to Italian Listed winner. Not disgraced when sixth on debut recently at Newcastle and wil have learned plenty. Worth a market check.
15,000gns gelded son of Equiano out of a 7f winner. Second at Beverley and Musselburgh last term but not seen since August when ran poorly on handicap bow on first start since being gelded. Has official mark of 75.
17,000 euros Swiss Spirit gelding , half-brother to Group 3 winner Steel of Madrid. Dam won over 7f. Runner-up on second start at Newcastle recently and races on turf for first time. Should be thereabouts.
Garswood colt out of decent dam who won at 7f-1m4f. Solid start at York in October when beaten just a length in fourth in 7f novice stakes and stayed on when third despite slow start at Newcastle 1m first start back . One for the shortlist.
Cost 6,000gns as a yearling. By Mukhadram and is first foal of winning miler. Hasn't shown much in two starts so far and may need more time. Hard to recommend.
3,000gns Fountain Of Youth gelding who is half brother to a winner at 1m2f-1m4f. Cut no ice in two starts at up to 1m last term and will probably have a better chance once contesting handicaps.
Stable companion of Bollin Neil. 20,000gns buy as a 2yo by War Command and is half-brother to three winners at up to 1m. Not show in two starts last term including over C&D and needs to make big improvement to take a hand here.
Archipenko filly related to a number of decent performers between 7f-1m4f. Makes raceourse debut for good yard with 11% strike rate here with its three-year-olds. One to consider especially if finding favour in the market.
Home bred Toronado filly out of winner at 1m2f-1m4f. Yard had a few very near misses since the restart and wouldn't be a complete surprise to this newcomer give a good account of herself.
Stable companion of Splinter. 20,000gns 2yo by Outstrip is half-sister to two winners at up to 1m. Has hinted at a little ability on both starts but not done enough to suggest she's up to winning this. May do better in handicaps.

Splinter looks best of those with previous experience and a bold show is anticipated. With a mark of 76 however he is vulnerable to an improver or a fair newcomer, and ALCHIMISTA falls into the latter category. From a fine stable, she is related to a number of decent performers so might well make a big impression here on debut. Benedictine is another newcomer who may not be far away and her yard is going fairly well since the return to action. Northern Hope was put away for the winter after running poorly following a gelding operation but has definite claims on previous form, and Returnofthemac was a decent second last time and should again be in the mix.
