Useful handicap hurdler; won a Grade 2 hurdle in 2019 though slightly below best last season; interesting contender having first run on the Flat for almost three years; suited by fast ground.

Switch to front running has been the making of him and completed hat-trick when gamely making all in the mud at Listowel in September; struggled behind Melburnian last time.

Can race off a 3lb lower mark than when winning over similar trip at Chester this time last year; needs to put a couple of poor runs over hurdles behind her.

Justifiably off the mark at the ninth time of asking when landing a 6K maiden over this trip in February; two fair races in defeat since and looks one for the shortlist.

Not the most consistent and rarely looks like winning a race (has only ever won one contest); starting to look attractively handicapped but is not one to reply upon.

Still looking for her first win on turf but is a distance winner on the AW at Dundalk; won as recently as January; interesting contender but possibly in handicapper's grip.

Put some indifferent runs behind him to run one of his better races last time at Punchestown over hurdles; previous Flat form was poor and on that basis can't be recommended.

Sole win was on second start as 2yo but he's pretty reliable and came third in handicaps at Dundalk in February on last two outings, a close one over 2m latest; each-way contender.

Dundalk regular; had been in decent nick before the lockdown and if able to translate that form to turf then the mare has a fair chance of success.

Very reliable gelding who rarely finishes too far away from the winner over a variety of trips and surfaces; win ratio is not the best but should run his race and excellent place claims at the very least.

Dual-purpose gelding formerly with trainers Roger Varian and Gordon Elliott; no real show on stable debut at the Curragh in September; market should gauge stable confidence.

Not won since his two-year-old days and series of poor runs in 2019 suggest him a regressive sort so best avoided again until we see some glimmer of hope.

Verdict

Topweight Melburnian can run a big race here with conditions set to suit. She was fairly impressive winning last time out at Leopardstown and despite a hike in the weights, she may prove too strong for her rivals. Moktamel is a very game and consistent performer who should run his race and the gelding has definite place chances. A cautious approach should be taken with Cautious Approach because the mare's best form has come on the AW but if able to translate it to turf, she could run a big race.
  1. Melburnian
  2. Cautious Approach
  3. Moktamel
