Anjaal half-brother to useful 7f-1m1f winner Gallant Eagle and 7f winner Gratified. Yard 7-94 with runners here in recent seasons, and others seem more likely on paper.

By Anodin out of a useful French 1¼m winner. Not the most expensive, but yard does very well with newcomers, and surprise if he was let down by inexperience.

Iffrajj half-brother to 1m winner Karakour out of a 2-y-o 76f winner. Cheap purchase at €4,000 earlier this year, which doesn't augur particularly well for his chances.

By Bated Breath, and the first foal of a 1½m winner. Sales price rose to 175,000 as a yearling, so clearly has something about him physically. Market will prove informative.
Full-brother to 1m winner Koubalibre and half-brother to Cheveley Park Stakes winner Tiggy Wiggy and 6f winner Iftaar. Bred to be precocious, so belated debut a slight worry, but much respected on pedigree/connections.

By Rock of Gibraltar out of a useful French 1m1f winner. Cost just €11,000 as a yearling, and makes only limited appeal in absence of market clues.
Pioneerof The Nile half-brother to Breeders' Cup Classic winner Vino Rosso. Cost $575,000 as a yearling, and disappointing if he isn't up to making a major splash given his stellar pedigree.

Camelot half-brother to 2-y-o 6f winner Snowy Scene and 7f/1m winner Coviglia out of a 6f winner. Apprentice ridden for racecourse bow, and seems sure to come on for the outing.

Camacho half-brother to 1m1½f winner English Pale and 1m winner Ally Cay out of an unraced half-sister to Coronation Cup winner Pether's Moon. Of interest only if attracting significant support.

Forecasts

Napa Valley (11/8), Ramesses The Great (10/3), Bolivar (4/1), Up With The Play (6/1), Mostallim (15/2), Pin Your Hopes (12/1), Aztec Parade (28/1), Wonwabbitwon (33/1), Snowalot (40/1), Kartayaz (100/1)

Verdict

Aidan O'Brien holds the cards here, with Napa Valley - a Galileo half-brother to the brilliant Tiggy Wiggy - and RAMESSES THE GREAT who is a half-brother to last year's Breeders' Cup Classic winner Vino Rosso, and cost $575,000 as a yearling. It'd dangerous reading too much into riding arrangements at Ballydoyle, and the latter makes most appeal. Mostallim has a fair pedigree, but his sales price rose to 175,000 as a yearling, which augurs well, and he's respected despite having already been gelded.
  1. Ramesses The Great
  2. Napa Valley
  3. Mostallim
