10/1
Multiple winner from 1m2f-2m on ground with good in the description (handles softer). Was fancied for the 2018 Ebor after winning at York on his most recent run in July that year, but off the track since. Not ruled out if retaining his ability.

Dual winner (including here over 1m) for John Gosden. Not seen since June 2018 and changed hands in October that year for just 8,500gns. Current trainer has had a while to get to grips with his capabilities. Market can provide any clues.

Won twice at up to 1m6f when with Dermot Weld. Was 8-1 when pitched in at this level on debut for this trainer in last year's Rose Bowl Stakes at Newmarket (2m), when he was eased to last when beaten. Since gelded and needs significant improvement.

6/4
Multiple winner at 1m1f-1m6f, mainly on fast ground, but has once won on soft/heavy. Has been some way below his best in all four starts so far in 2020. May benefit from latest run after a break and if anything close to his best he is a big player.

11/4
Won last year's Group 3 Silver Cup at York (1m6f, good to firm), which was his best effort. Held in the Ebor, the Grade 1 Caulfield Cup and an AW conditions event since. Needs to get back on track, and should go well fresh back at this level.

Grace And Danger242
Age: 4|  Weight: 8-9| J: David Probert| T: A M Balding| OR:  100

Has improved since winning a Nottingham fillies' novice event (1m½, soft) on debut in 2018, though hasn't been able to add to that in five Listed races since. Placed in two of those, however, and gets this far, so should remain competitive.

Forecasts

King's Advice (6/4), Red Verdon (11/4), Grace And Danger (4/1), Reshoun (7/1), Hasanabad (8/1), Euchen Glen (10/1), Glencadam Glory (33/1)

Verdict

Support for Euchen Glen first time back after a lengthy absence would pique interest, but it is hard to believe that this won't be the first step on a more grand plan, if he retains ability. Preference, therefore, is for RED VERDON, who goes well when fresh and should find this more realistic than some recent targets. King's Advice is feared, while Grace And Danger is another who should be involved at the business end.
  1. Red Verdon
  2. King's Advice
  3. Euchen Glen
