Seventh foal; dam 5f/6f 2yo winner who stayed 1m; stable's 3yo strike-rate is 10% over five seasons, and their recent runners have been in decent form. Check the market ahead of his debut.
Big prices and little evidence of ability in two starts so far, beating home just one opponent in each run at Newcastle last November. Vast improvement needed on this reappearance.
Joined this trainer from Sir Michael Stoute prior to his debut at Newcastle (1m2f, AW) recently. Showed promise there when 13L fourth, looking in need of this step up in trip. Probable improver and could have a big say.
Dark Angel colt with stamina on the dam's side of his pedigree. Respectable recent debut effort at Newcastle (1m2f, AW), when looking in need of this longer trip. Should improve for that experience, but may have to wait for other days.
Made the frame in a moderate Southwell handicap (1m, AW) last September, from a mark of 45 and has shown little else. Looks out of his depth in this field.
Recovered from a ponderous start on recent Kempton debut (1m4f, AW) to run a nice enough race when under 7L fourth, and never a serious challenger. Can build on that promise on this turf debut, and is a likely contender.
Outperformed her 80-1 SP on her recent debut at Kempton (1m2f, AW) when less than 6L fifth of 11 in a fillies' novice event. Can probably improve for the experience now up in trip and no surprise to see her go close.
Nibbled at in the market when 28-1 on debut at Newcastle (1m, AW) last November, but ultimately well beaten. Sister was placed over 1m4f-2m, so every chance she will be better suited by this longer trip, but big step up needed.
€18,000 foal; €3,000 yearling; first foal of a French 1m-1m2f winning sister to Listed-placed 7f winner Padana. This looks a tough enough assignment on debut, and looks one to watch unless market vibes particularly strong.
Forecasts
Swift Verdict (4/9), Dream With Me (10/3), Au Clair De Lune (5/1), Mister Blue (16/1), Cheshire (25/1), Admiral Percy (40/1), Dawn Landing (50/1), Ontheradar (80/1), Allerthorpe (200/1)
It will a surprise if the winner comes from outside three or four of this field, with the nomination being SWIFT VERDICT. John Gosden's colt had to go the long way around at Kempton after being slowly away, but he can come on a fair bit for that and is taken to score. Dream With Me is another who can step up on his first effort and is feared, while Au Clair De Lune is the suggestion to be the one chasing them home.
