Versatile sort has proved somewhat frustrating, with just one success in 24 starts since joining Gary Moore. Couple of decent efforts at Lingfield (1m2f) early this year but poor in March at Kempton and others are preferred on balance.
Yet to win on turf (handles it) but rocketed up the ratings on the AW with very consistent winter run (figures 23122) and Lawman gelding ticks plenty boxes back on turf from much-reduced rating.
Winner over this trip at Epsom last summer from a mark 4lb lower; shaped well enough in three winter hurdles run and may go well back in this sphere after a break.
Three-time hurdles winner, sole Flat success was in amateur riders' event at Wolverhampton in 2016. Quite a while since he has shown his best in either code and has plenty to prove as such.
Solid and consistent last season for Jim Goldie but couldn't get his head in front and form eventually tailed off; has transferred to this prolific jumps trainer and booking of in-form Atzeni is noted. On a very workable mark and feared.
Dual winner (turf and AW) for Sir Mark Prescott and was largely consistent in his efforts. Not beaten far on recent stable bow at Lingfield (20-1) over 1m and should be suited going back up in trip.
Can be hit and miss and has twice disappointed in visits here since going close over 1m (soft) in 2017 off a mark of 78. Is capable of running well fresh and mark is fair, but others are easier trusted in this line-up.
Daughter of Teofilo showed some promise in four AW starts at around 1m2f last winter; possible improver now making turf/handicap debut and booking of Jim Crowley is a positive.
Authorized gelding won three times last year at Nottingham (all over 1m2f with give in the ground) after returning from a near two-year absence. Form tailed off late in the year but only 2lb above previous win-mark now on return.
Winner of an apprentice handicap at Goodwood (1m2f, soft; 9-2) in this month last year; ended the term with a fair third at Yarmouth (1m3½f, heavy; 9-1). Low-mileage four-year-old with scope for better still and Ryan Moore on board for assistance.
Started last season with a bang, going close at Windsor and then winning narrowly at Bath (1m2f, firm; 3-1). On a workable mark for this return and can go well under in-form David Probert but may not want any more easing of the ground.

Early in the season might be the time to catch Simbirsk, but he also may need quicker ground than looks likely here. Edmond Dantes is a low-mileage sort capable of better and has Ryan Moore's assistance for the first time now, while possible improver Mercury Dime and the Nicky Henderson-trained Torolight are noted along with Employer, who has joined the excellent Richard Newland team since he was last spotted and is a rare Flat runner for the yard However, SINGING SHERIFF improved significantly on the AW during the winter/spring and if he can transfer that form across to turf, he should prove a tough nut to crack from this much-reduced rating.
