Progressed nicely after winning 6f Naas maiden in June last year; culminating in narrow runner-up finishes in Group 3 (7f, heavy) and Listed (1m, soft) contests at the Curragh in the autumn. Seems likely to improve this year and key player now.
Wining debut over 5f at Navan early last spring and far from disgraced behind Siskin in Listed Curragh contest over 6f next time. Readily held in Group 3 events at Royal Ascot and in August however and big step up needed on return.
Won a big-field Curragh maiden (7f, soft; 5-1) on debut last August and entitled to have learned plenty from experience in 1m Group 3 back there a fortnight later. Very early days and more to come.
Galileo filly won a 7f maiden here on testing ground on third start last year and ran creditably in Listed company either side of that effort. Yet to run on anything better than soft ground but is a possible improver.
Pair of wins in 10 starts have come in modest company, one of four for Joseph O'Brien in this line-up but others readily preferred on evidence to date.
Won a Naas maiden (6f, good) in September for Michael O'Callaghan and generally looking progressive at that stage. Likely didn't relish heavy ground in Curragh Group 3 on final start. Changed hands since but must improve generously to compete.
Made winning start at the Curragh (6f, good to firm; 3-1fav) in July before twice coming up well short in Group 2/Listed company back there. May have more to offer back on a sounder surface on seasonal return and worth betting check.
Struggled to build on early promise in some good turf sprints last season (inc Listed/Group 3) before winning a Dundalk maiden in December over 7f. Last of nine in Listed event back there in February and plenty more demanded for this mission.
Soft-ground Curragh maiden winner over this trip in August on second start and twice ran well afterwards in Group 2/3 company at that venue. Very closely matched with A New Dawn on Park Stakes run (heavy ground). More progress likely.
Fetched €700,000 at the sales and the No Nay Never filly won a 6f Naas maiden in October before just missing out in a 7f nursery there in November (form franked since). One of three representing Ballydoyle and entitled to her claims.
Nicely-related War Front filly was twice placed in Group races last season after winning on debut at Naas in April. Should have more to come and Colin Keane rides ahead of stablemate French Rain.
Highly tried last season in six runs before grabbing a Curragh maiden (6f, soft to heavy; 8-11fav) in October. Disappointed at Newmarket in Listed contest afterwards (fav) and has something to prove at this level, albeit dangerous to discount.
Daughter of Cable Bay won a Fairyhouse maiden (6f, yielding) in September on fourth start and also finished 6L second behind Tango in a Listed race at the Curragh (6f, soft to heavy). Overall profile suggests plenty to find amongst these rivals.
Got within 2¾L of 1000 Guineas heroine Love in the Moyglare last season and far from disgraced in the Middle Park (fourth) at Newmarket before winning a Listed Curragh contest in fine style. No luck at Breeders' Cup but big chance on form.
Fairyhouse maiden winner in July and chased home Sunday's ultra-impressive 1000 Guineas Love next time out in C&D Group 3. Progress stalled afterwards but one to keep a close eye on this season. Could be a lively outsider.
Forecasts
Tango (4/1), Know It All (5/1), Celestial Object (5/1), Love Locket (6/1), Peace Charter (8/1), A New Dawn (9/1), Precious Moments (11/1), Unforgetable (16/1), Brook On Fifth (16/1), French Rain (50/1), Schroders Mistake (50/1), Chrysalism (66/1), In The Present (100/1), Deidra (125/1), Back To Brussels (125/1)
TANGO gained plenty experience last summer behind the likes of stablemate Love and Millisle before stylishly winning in Listed company at the Curragh on testing ground in October. She performed with credit at the Breeders' Cup afterwards and looks open to further progress as a three-year-old. Her prominent racing style should serve well and she's the one to beat. A New Dawn and Know It All are amongst the form dangers, while Brook On Fifth, Peace Charter and Love Locket are potential improvers and Unforgetable is a viable outsider based on the early prices.
- Tango
- A New Dawn
- Unforgetable
