Half-brother to a useful sort in Chilean (Group 3 winner); made a winning debut at Kempton taking a seven-runner affair as 11-10 favourite. Won readily over 7f (third has since landed a gamble on handicap debut); type to progress and stay 1m.

In good hands although stable have a poor record with newcomers in these type of events. Tongue-tie on for debut; €400,000 yearling, half-brother to numerous winners, including smart winner up to 1m Yellow Rosebud, market to guide.

Newcomer from a top yard who have been in excellent form since racing returned. 200,000gns yearling by burgeoning sire Kingman out of a dam who was a 6f winner. Half-brother to smart 6f 2yo winner San Donato; pick of those on debut.

Offered very little on his sole outing so far a 7f minor event at Newcastle in February. 33-1 chance who went with little fluency and beat just one home, made little impression, would need a huge stride forward to get involved.
First foal who makes his debut having cost €25,000 as a yearling (not sold at €38,000 as a 2yo). Dam, maiden, out of a useful 2yo 6f winner who stayed 1m Nijoom Dubai. Not one of the more obvious types in this, better for experience.

Well fancied in the market (3-1) when making his debut as a 2yo at Wolverhampton over 6f in a minor event but showed very little promise (very green). Gelded since better could be expected with the stables looking as though its clicking into gear.

Night Of Thunder filly, newcomer, £40,000 yearling, half-sister to several winners including useful winner up to 1m Mocenigo (2yo 7f winner). Dam 1m4f winner, given a fairly stiff task on her debut; would be a surprise winner.

Stable do well with fillies; €90,000 foal, half-sister to useful 1m winner Spiriting and 2yo 6f winner Gold Medallion. Dam 2yo 6f winner who stayed further, likeable pedigree but would do well to be sharp enough to win on debut.

Showed plenty of ability on debut in tough conditions here over 6f prior to being strong in the betting at Yarmouth (6-5, favourite) and flopping badly in similar conditions. Needs to bounce back, deserves another chance stepping up to 7f.

Newcomer for a top yard although they do seem a little below-par at the moment. 55,000gns 2yo, closely related to 1m 2yo winner Al Jellaby. Dam 1m2f winner, pedigree would suggest she can take a hand at this level.

Forecasts

Arctic Vega (1/1), Lead Singer (16/5), Al Qaasim (11/2), Vape (10/1), Made For All (14/1), Ozgood (20/1), Moonlight Echo (25/1), Dakota Moon (25/1), Rogue Assassin (40/1), Amber Storm (40/1), Golden Achievement (40/1), Lucky Poppy (250/1)

Verdict

Similar to the first division there is far from a plethora of form to go on and it’s probably an event to watch and learn from rather than to get involved with in monetary terms. Made For All needs to bounce back from a disappointing second effort but a return to the venue where she made an eye-catching debut up a furlong in trip may help in that regard. Arctic Vega won readily at Kempton (form already franked) and he could still be dangerous despite the penalty and a different surface to operate on. Al Qaasim and Vape are two others to include in calculations but this could go the way of John Gosden’s newcomer LEAD SINGER with the yard in good form at the moment.
  1. Lead Singer
  2. Arctic Vega
  3. Made For All
