Improved over hurdles since showing fair form at shorter on the Flat, and if staying this longer trip should be in the reckoning with a tongue-tie added for the first time.
Sole career win was over 1m2f here in March last year but does stay this far and has shown enough off this mark to suggest he has solid each-way claims.
Nine career wins under both codes and was enjoying a golden spell when winning for the last time in 2018, but then had a setback and was off the track since coming back early this year. Showed enough last time to suggest ability is still there.
Improved when switching to AW early in the year and showed himself to be tactically versatile gaining two wins in last four runs. 3lb rise for latest is fair and may be more to come.
The occasional fair placed effort but none too consistent and ran poorly when last seen. Career low mark now but not one for maximum confidence.
Front-runner who gained only win at Leicester last summer over 1m4f. Moderate form to date in four runs on the AW but is 8lb lower than when last seen on this surface so respected.
Lightly raced maiden but improved when switched to handicapping at this longer trip on the Southwell fibresand. If coping with this different AW surface he looks a contender with more to offer.
Best effort to date when third on penultimate start but ran poorly when down the field here shortly after. May have benefitted from a break since but still has a good bit to find.
Multiple winner on soft turf but AW form is some way behind that and probably best watched until returning to preferred surface.
4-28 on turf but you have to go back a long time since he showed anything on the AW and hard to make a case for recent evidence.
Dual winner in his early days with Ralph Beckett but on the down grade for a while now and although the occasional ray of hope, others make more appeal.

Forecasts
What Will Be (7/2), Thornton Le Clay (4/1), Capricorn Prince (9/2), Blue Beirut (13/2), Mr Fox (7/1), Chinese Alphabet (14/1), Earthly (16/1), Incus (16/1), Stynes (20/1), Black Prince (20/1), Becky Sharp (25/1), Danglydontask (50/1)
More strength in depth than in the first division and plenty who can be fancied. Narrow preference goes to STYNES who although in the veteran stage hinted last time there is still abilty there. Thornton Le Clay has scope for improvement and along with Capricorn Prince should play a part in an open contest.
