Consistent type and better on the AW than turf but is 5lb higher than her last win and needs a career best today giving weight to less exposed rivals.
Took a while to get off the mark but much improved to win over C&D in March. May have had the run of the race there from the front but there may be more to come from this 6lb higher mark though this is tougher.
Below best when last seen last backend but had been very consistent prior to that. Did need her first run of the season last year and will need to come back at the top of her game against rivals who may have more scope.
Not seen since soft ground win over 7f at Doncaster on second start last summer. Half-sister won here and improved with age so no reason to think she shouldn't cope with surface or improve and may have got in lightly for handicap debut. Big player.
Improved for the step up to this trip when making all over C&D on third start in the autumn. Runner -up has franked the form since and gives the impression there should be plenty more to come for top stable.
Three solid efforts to reach the frame in maidens at slightly shorter giving the impression each time that this slightly further trip will suit her but takes on some fillies with better form in the book here.
In the frame in pair of maidens last backend over 7f and 1m. Type to do better at three though opening mark suggests handicapper hasn't let her in lightly.
All four runs as a juvenile on fast turf. Showed good attitude to get off the mark at Lingfield over 7f prior to handicap debut fourth. Now steps up to 1m and likely she needs to improve a touch to be competitive here.
Scraped home on third start at Goodwood over 7f but ran no race when well beaten at Newmarket subsequently (may have been unsuited by track). Improvement needed stepping up to 1m on AW debut.
AW debut here and her best runs last term were both on soft ground. Yet to race beyond 7f but shaped at Newmarket when second in October as though this trip will suit though others may have more room for improvement.
In the frame all five runs to date without getting her head in front and expensive to follow having been sent off favourite each time. Probably found steady pace against her last time and a strongly run 1m may be what she wants.
Impressive in landing both starts firstly at Kempton , then over 1m at Southwell in February. This is tougher but she is clearly pretty useful and just possible the handicapper has underestimated her. Solid contender.
Forecasts
Declared Interest (3/1), Sacred Dance (3/1), Rideson (9/2), Queen Of All (15/2), Caen Na Coille (8/1), Indie Angel (10/1), Gypsy Whisper (18/1), Elegant Erin (33/1), Dutch Painting (40/1), Zafaranah (50/1), Rhyme Scheme (50/1), Crystal Casque (100/1)
This looks a strong race for the grade with three-year-olds looking set to dominate and the market should be very informative. Narrow preference goes to SACRED DANCE who looks the sort to improve at three and the switch to the AW shouldn't be a concern. Queen Of All puts her unbeaten record on the line and wont go down without a fight with Indie Angel another to warrant serious consideration.
- Sacred Dance
- Queen Of All
- Indie Angel
