It's 17 races and almost two years since he was able to win a race, but his slide in the handicap has been steady due to some very competitive efforts in defeat. Has a chance from this mark and with claimer up, if ready first time post-wind surgery.
Triple winner at 6f-7f, including here. 6lb lower than his last win, for Hugo Palmer in 2018, but was last in all three starts in 2019. Changed hands for 11,000gns since last run but looks best watched on first start for almost a year.
Dual winner (6f/1m2f) for Richard Hannon, but held in two hurdles and an AW start when more recently with Alan King. Changed hands since last seen in December and resumes with his mark back down to 1lb higher than his last win. Market check advised.
Triple turf winner over 7f-1m½f, all on a sound surface, and two of those on galloping tracks similar to this. Returned with promise when going very close at 33-1 at Newcastle (1m, AW) a week ago and looks a big player from the same mark.
Multiple winner from 6f-1m on a variety of ground. Back on the same mark as his most recent win, at Chester last September. Is adaptable in terms of the types of track he has won at. Can go well fresh (although yet to win) and not ruled out.
AW specialist, and more particularly Kempton where he has earned six of his seven wins over 6f-7f. Yet to make the frame in five attempts on turf, but has not attempted since 2018. Returns 15lb lower than his AW mark, so could be thrown in.
Has earned three of his four wins when fresh, so the fact that he has been off since October and since had wind surgery looks positive. Also looks well treated, given that last year's reappearance win came from 6lb higher. Could go close.
Prolific winner over 6f-7f on a variety of ground, though hasn't scored since 2017. Well treated on old form, and although not as good now, he has shown that he still retains ability. One win when fresh but otherwise record offputting after a break.
Multiple AW winner but 0-10 on turf (placed several times over 7f on good top firm and once on heavy over 1m1f). Yet to win when fresh, but has run well after a break, so can't be written off, but others make more appeal for win purposes.
AW winner who finally broke his turf duck at the 14th attempt when last seen at Catterick in October (7f, heavy). Up 2lb for that, and all his best turf form has been on softer ground, so looks a big player here with conditions slowing up.
Appears to have been handled with care and goes well when fresh, as evidenced when breaking his duck at Newcastle when last seen in February (7f, AW). Best turf run came on good, but acts on soft/fast ground. Up 4lb and open to improvement.
Dual 6f turf winner when trained in Ireland (stays 7f). 0-6 for this trainer in 2019, but ran some good races in defeat and returns on a handy mark. Market can help us as to any confidence for this reappearance, but certainly not ruled out.

A race that, on paper at least, appears to revolve around multiple AW winner Treacherous. If he can come anywhere close to his best form from that sphere back on turf he is thrown in, but he does have to prove it by taking this opportunity. Therefore, we'll take him on with LOFTY, who is unexposed and although a turf maiden, we know he acts on it, is improving and also goes well when fresh. Right Action looks a danger, although stablemate Zip may be an even bigger player with the ground beginning to turn soft. Saisons D'Or, Roundhay Park and Production are others for whom cases can be made.
