The first of four successive days racing at Newmarket commences with a sprint maiden for juvenile fillies, and as a result there's precious little from which to base a solid opinion, so stakes should be kept to the bare minimum. Richard Hannon is doubly-represented with Happy Romance and Risque, while others more than worthy of a second glance include Time Scale (Ralph Beckett) and Wings Of A Dove (Richard Spencer). However, the pair who appeal most on pedigree are Sardinia Sunset (Roger Varian) and SENSE OF ROMANCE (James Tate) with the scales tipping narrowly towards the latter named for the selection.
